10. Divide and conquer is what you are talking about. The US

could then grab the oil/land they want, and solidify their positions there while the Shia, Kurds, and Sunni are distracted. Let's see what happens. Civil war will happen. Our troops will either be caught up in it, or withdrawn to a safer location. the land grab would be the safer plan in the short term.
