I, too, was deeply offended by that song sung by Willie Nelson and whomever the talent-less worm singing it with him about lynching.

Why isn't everyone up in arms about that?

They were glorifying a hideous criminal act, done mainly to blacks in this country, through a song, sung to millions of impressionable young children.

How anyone could get up there and arrogantly sing the words about something so pattently offensive to a large segment of the American population and think they are being patriotic escapes me.

If someone got up there and sang a song glorifying indiscriminately raping old women, there would be so much whining in the press today you wouldn't see daylight. I feel that the plug should have been pulled halfway through that song and Nelson and the worm apologize for being so brazenly offensive in bringing something like that song to the attention of the American population--some of whom who've had family members wrongfully strung up a tree and lynched...

Whatever Jackson and Timberlake did did not rise to the level of offense that that song did.
