this is an article in Billboard quoting the New York Post. note in the article there's no other sources. they tried an interview but AAR refused, as they should. if it's real they shouldn't comment on it, if it's a rumor, they shouldn't comment on it.

seriously, if this was from the NYT or WaPo or Knight Ridder then I might give this rumor a bit more respect. but right now it's classified as right-wing echo chamber rumor mongering, and Billboard probably just got caught up as many legit forums have before.
