30. Who was it that they detained?
You think they were doing something they were not doing? One report I read identified him only as "a man". Another identified him as an "illegal migrant". I don't know what the law is in Arizona but if it is that you can detain someone that is doing something illegal (citizen's arrest) then they likely will not have any charges.

We need to know if the guy was crossing into the U.S. illegally or if he was a U.S. citizen. I suspect we will see a story in the coming days that the investigation concluded without any charges being filed against the people that detained him.

What is scary, though, is if people started using that law (if it exists) to start detaining other people because they thought they are illegal. What a nightmere that will be. Talk about profiling. At least in the desert - that part of the desert near the border - there is a pretty good chance the guy is illegally crossing into the U.S.
