Hawaii Legislature to Birthers: Sorry, We're Closed
Hawaii Legislature OKs Measure to Ignore Requests for Disclosure of Barack Obama's Birth Certificate

<SNIP>
A brand-new chapter dawns in the birther controversy over President Obama's hidden birth certificate.

The Hawaii legislature has now officially passed a measure that would allow state officials to legally ignore each month's dozens of repeated requests by persons or organizations seeking to see the infant Obama's actual birth certificate.

<SNIP>
Nearly three years ago at The Ticket's request, the presidential campaign of Barack Hussein Obama released a copy of his Certificate of Live Birth, which we promptly published right here.

In the ensuing months, however, that proved insufficient evidence for those who believe the twice-sworn 44th president might possibly maybe could have been born in Kenya, which could mean that he wasn't born an American even though his Kansas-born mother was American, which then still conceivably might possibly mean that Obama is an illegitimate president, as is, then, everything he's done since Jan. 20, 2009, they hope.

<SNIP>Tuesday Hawaii's Legislature approved a bill that would allow state officials to make a surgical exception in the state's public records law allowing the state to ignore any such repeated requests, meaning, of course, those for the sitting Democratic president. Since not too many other Hawaiian babies have been involved in such stubborn situations.

The exception measure now goes to the state's first female governor, Linda Lingle who was -- she has proof -- born in St. Louis.

And -- oh look! -- Lingle is a Republican.

Who is -- oh, look again! -- term-limited this year. Meaning, what's she got to lose by vetoing the bill? And letting the useless controversy roll on.

Or signing it. And letting it roll on anyway.

--------------------

Will she or won't she? Any bets? Will Lingle come down on the side of common sense and sign the bill, or choose instead to become a member of Jan Brewer's divisive club?

1. Yay! How fitting that you post it in the BOG, QA~
So proud of my adopted state.B-)

Arizona lawmakers pass some birther nonsense and racial profiling crap while Hawai'i passes a no nonsense Law!

lingle may be term limited but if she has any other political plans she better come down on helping out her state..or even if she doesn't.

2. Hey, Cha -- I keep forgetting your connection with Hawaii -- love, love, love Hawaii.
Visited there once in the '90's -- loved it so much, I spent the next five years trying to figure out how I could move there. (Haven't made it yet, though, but it's still on my mind!).

4. We went to Oahu - which I know is touristy - but I liked it - especially "Dukes" at the beach --
-- and we went to The Big Island -- which I was never quite clear on the official name for it!

But, being single and on my own (the "we" was me, my sister and her fiance -- don't ask, I've never done the "third wheel thing" since) -- I liked Oahu the best out of the two. But when I was looking at where I would like to live in Hawaii, Kaua'i was at the top of my list.

5. When I lived there..I was busy working during
the week so on the weekends..it was like a Hawai'ian vacay..so I didn't Island hop to any of the others(I plan to do that when I get over there).

Kaua'i's my home..my son has been there since '85 when he graduated from high school in California..off to find better waves~~ So, I'll stay with him until I find a place. Who knows..maybe you'll have someone to visit if you get over to Kaua'i?:)

I definetly want to get to the Big Island/aka/Hawai'i one day..my friend/co-worker went over about 3 years ago and took pics & made me a collage.

I go in October..I really can't believe it yet.

6. Cary to birthers:
Go f*** yourselves.

I'm so sick of these pukes. Can't we just unplug their speakers or something?
