1. hmmmm, I don't know yet
I really loved the original wipeout so I may go for that. Dead Nation also looks to be a lot of fun... I am not sure, I will need to think about it a bit.

3. I already own Dead Nation, Super Stardust HD, and I used to own inFamous, but the disc cracked.
All three are awesome.

Dead Nation
-Lots of upgradable weapons.
-You can customize your stats mixing and matching different types of armor.
-Lots of hidden chests.
-Local and online co-op.
-Dramatic difference between difficulties.
-Insane swarms of zombies.
-Lots of tactics to handle the insane swarms.
-Has a story.

Upgrade video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyMfWizHjcY

Super Stardust HD
It is made by the same people as Dead Nation, but it has more of an arcade feel. The following video is a little fuzzy, but I think it shows the game play really well. Super Stardust HD supports custom soundtrack, which is awesome.

inFamous
This was originally a $60 disc release. It plays like a third person shooter, same style as Uncharted or Dead Space, but your guns are your super electricity powers. What makes inFamous so much fun is your athleticism. Such as your ability to climb almost anything, falling any distance without harm. So you can scurry up skyscrapers and ambush your enemies. You gain some other cool powers, such as the ability to glide along power lines. Some of your powers are dependent upon your alignment; e.g., good characters have different grenades than evil characters. The PSN store has a demo, I highly suggest checking it out. The demo is a good representation for the game.

I will probably get inFamous again, since my disc broke before I could finish playing as an evil character. I already beat the game as a good character.

That leaves LittleBigPlanet and Wipeout HD+Fury. I am leaning towards LittleBigPlanet, since everyone seems to think it is so awesome. I like most racing games at first, but they don't usually hold my attention for very long, so I don't think Wipeout is for me.

Dead Nation and inFamous are both really awesome. I would suggest them over Stardust, but I still love and play Stardust.

5. Yeah, I'm leaning towards Dead Nation.
I'm gonna encourage my bro to get it too, so we can mulitplayer it. We had such a good time with the Borderlands zombie add on, so I think it would be great. I wish Killzone 3 was on the list, but we can't have it all, I guess.

7. All but Wipeout. Dead Nation and Stardust are top down, same as Diablo,
inFamous is a TPS, and LittleBigPlanet and Ratchet and Clank are platformers.

8. what would you recommend?
My favourite games for PS2 or PS3 are X-Men Legends, the Kingdom Hearts games, and the God of War series.

I used to do platformers, but my reflexes have slowed a bit the past ten years. :(

9. I don't know what I would recommend to you.
Probably inFamous. You can upgrade your powers, multiple endings, and the platforming parts are mostly easy. You get some cool super powers, such as the ability to throw cars with your electrical force powers, vampiric grenades, summon tornadoes, climb almost anything (but not fences), etc.

10. I forgot to add the Assassin's Creed games, particularly 2
So "climb anything" sounds good. :D

11. It's pretty fun. I think Assassin's Creed looks cooler, but inFamous is more fluid.
You should like it.

15. Kind of
It appears that PSN is once again down. It seems Sony said this last week but not very loudly as none of the gaming sites I check every day knew anything about it. Sony also is being to have put out an announcement that all services will be back by the end of the week.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/303687/playstation-store-back-online-this-week-promises-sony/

The good news is that they are still able to stream out their fucking commercials hawking products to my PS3... Douchebags.

17. The PSN is down again?
Edited on Tue May-31-11 02:30 PM by charlie and algernon
I was able to sign in yesterday and even access the internet browser. I thought it was just the store that was down?

I'm really looking forward to finally using the code that came with FIFA 10 to improve your PRO player. I've been treading water in the reserves and hoping this code gives me enough of a boost to make the main club. What sucks is that you can only activate it in the FIFA store, which of course has been down with the PS Store. :eyes:

Sorry for the late notice... I think it may even be to late... But I just saw this. On the bright side, the store should be back in the morning. Finally, I can get the DLC gold courses for Masters :D
