(45,984 posts)She and I have had some discussions that we kept respectful of each other from which I have learned much. She has my respect.
DSB and I haven't crossed swords so much, so I can't give a fair opinion on him.
I was a moderator on the Foreign Affairs forum back before there was no I/P forum, and I/P discussions heavily dominated FA at that time. I removed many posts and banned a few users from both sides and developed a respect for DU rules. They are fair and should be used to judge when a post merits a hide or when it doesn't.
Personally, I can say that I've voted to hide Bernie posts and leave Hillary posts and don't keep track of how often I go one way or the other. I believe that I'm still more likely to vote to hide what I perceive to be a personal attack than others, regardless of from where the offender is coming. Some posters annoy me more than others, but I think we can all say that and it's no reason to vote to hide a post or to leave one that calls some other DU member a bald faced liar or suggests the object of the poster's ire has carnal relations with his female parent. It's no reason to alert on a post, either. I know, without knowing who, that not everybody does it that way, and strongly suspect that those who do not are not all supporters of one Democratic candidate or another.
Whoever you support, please don't use DU's jury system to target anyone. It's just wrong.
