4. I'm going to miss him so much.

There is a part of me that wishes I could have been living overseas during the Obama Era. Just in order to be able to live day-to-day with the same kind of admiration for him that so many people in other countries have.

The tawdry, disgusting hatred of American rights-wingers for such an inspired and inspiring figure in American history turns my stomach and makes me ashamed of my country. And the pissy, peevish disdain for the President from some on the left who didn't get their rainbows and unicorns makes me ashamed to be a liberal.

One day, we admirers of PBO will be able to look back at his transformative Presidency, and say: "Yes, we did!"
