(6,154 posts)55. The war on drugs has become a capitalist industry itself. There's too much money in it...
Billions of dollars of federal money pour into the industry that is called the "war on drugs". As lucrative as the drug industry is few people seem to realise how much money and vested interests there are in the war against it. They will go a long ways and do some pretty morally reprehensible things to keep that industry going too.
