Hell, one could find a subtext reading the phone book (if you can find a phone book). "Aha! Lots of people named Smith! Why is that, do you suppose? Just evidence of western European hegemony in American cities, I'll bet! Fascists!"

If you want to conjure up a subtext to this rather innocuous observation about the coming of spring and people's reaction to it, feel free. But it seems to me that there are plenty of bigger fish to fry on DU - unless there's an axe you feel needs grinding relative to this poster.
