Apparently moms and sons dressing up in 21st century clothes is just too weird, but mom dressing like a serving wench and son like the hangman in Blazing Saddles is just fine.
I think a Fifties theme would be more appropriate here. Most guys can pull together a Fifties look with the clothes they have, women can do Fifties pretty easily, and the moral values of CFA are firmly rooted in 1951 so that's covered too.
But this mother-son date night thing...man, this takes the classic Russian insult "go fuck your mother" to a whole new level.
