I would follow up with the store and possibly the next level up, BUT wouldn't make too big a deal of it.
You generally like the store and have a history with it, right? That's worth a lot. I certainly wouldn't stop trading there because that sort of means they won. Instead, when shopping there keep your heads held high like you own the place - in a way you do. You are better than that. Don't let it eat at you either. Or, as a boss I once had was fond of saying: "don't let the primadonnas get you down".
