(25,750 posts)20. I recently read a novel,
Pushback by John Stith in which the main character keeps on needing to go to an Emergency Room, and to do a rough test for brain damage they ask him several basic questions, including who is the President. After several such trips, he expresses concern that the ER doctor apparently needs his help in remember who is President. It's a hoot.
The novel itself is more serious, as it becomes clear that someone is trying to kill him. Great book. I'd recommend it.

My Daddy had mini-strokes. You could see it hit and he would be totally discombobulated.
