Yes it's an election year. Yes, normally Biden would be out and about doing rallies and other campaign type things. But sometimes it's a good thing to sit back, eat popcorn, and watch your opponent implode on themselves.

One also has to remember that Barack Obama is still living in Don The Con's head rent-free. Also the American people seem to have the attention span that rivals the Dotards. I expect that Obama will help Biden as much as he can - simply by being himself and simply by pointing out Trump's track record, and not very often. Obama speaking out will be newsworthy in itself, and Trump will have a meltdown afterwards. If done close enough to when absentee ballots go out, early voting starts, and close to election day it will provide ample contrast between Biden and Trump - does one want an adult or a toddler for president?
