5. Why didn't the cardiologist remove the wires?

Not that nurses aren’t capable, it’s just that the physician should oversee personally each part and aspect of treatment. If, in the doc’s estimation, the other caregivers could handle “taking out wires,” fine. That’s how he or she doctors. In addition, given the state of microbes at hospitals, I’d fear the possibility of post op infectionso and take all steps to minimize exposure.

This news is all really sad.
