Landfall was in Mexico Beach. It received a lot of storm surge damage along with the wind. Panama City had little storm surge but we lost 75% of our trees. 80% of all buildings were damaged or destroyed. Only 10% of housing was undamaged. The storm hit the Georgia border as a Cat 3 hurricane. There is no way to wrap your head around the extent of the damage without seeing it. It's weird, but the trees make me the saddest. The ones still standing look like something from a Tim Burton movie.
