As long as someone is licking his boots, he's happy. And he's likely to keep the door open for those folk

The GOP, to its eternal shame, has decided to play along, the implicit deal being that they, with cute smiles, make a show of loving, honoring, and obeying him, while he (in turn) gives them what they want: Gorsuch, the tax bill, etc

It's the same with the rightwing evangelicals: as long as they proclaim him the anointed, his door is open to them, and he'll do what he can to keep them singing his praises

There are probably others playing the same one note tune: Russians, libertarians, and so on

It can't last forever. But when the games stop, he quickly becomes erratic, looking for his adoring mobs. It's an unsettling time
