It's within ourselves

May we all turn to goodness; may we all turn to kindness; may we all forgive ourselves of our own faults while forgoing the urge to ridicule others for their faults; and may find it in our hearts to forgive others who do us harm, even if they never know it.

My beautiful book

1/15 To find the answers we are all looking for, I believe one must first find themselves by connecting with one's subconscious, and this is easier than you think. Curious?

2/15 Try this: close your eyes and picture a large oak tree, in a green yard and with a swing hanging from a limb. Did you see it? If so, you have just tapped into you subconscious and planted an image there, a tree with a swing, which will serve as the cover of your life's book.

3/15 Now, let's name your book. I named mine "Anything is Possible", but feel free to name yours "anything you want". 😁 Now picture your title on the cover with tree and picture your name as the author. Wow, we are making some progress. See, I said this was easy.

4/15 To have a true book, we need to add pages with pictures and content. Think of picture of your fondest memory; wedding, childbirth, etc. Do you see the picture and recall the story? Add it as the first page of your book and now you are on your way to your beautiful book. 🤗

5/15 So, what of the bad memories? We don't want bad memories in our book; no, we want to file them away and only access them if we need them for things like experience, lessons learned, etc. The key is to know that bad memories clutter our way and we need to file them away.

6/15 This is the not easy part: we have to work our way through the bad memories, file them away and only give them energy in the future as we need them for making our world a better place. So, picture a file cabinet with a combination lock that only you will be able to access.

7/15 Bad memories clutter our path to our true self, our subconscious self and spiritual self. The key is that we want to only give bad memories enough energy to review them, file them away and then to access them ONLY when we need to use the life experiences they give us.

8/15 Now, pick a not too bad memory. An example may be using hurtful language to hurt another. Got one? Here we go. Study the memory only enough to remember what you did wrong. Now, forgive yourself and file it away in the file cabinet.

9/15 Some bad memories may try to hang on, but don't let them; slam the drawer shut and move on. Some bad memories will be tougher than others; just remember that you can take a break and revisit the memory later.

10/15 Some bad memories may leave you with a need to seek forgiveness from others, which is okay, but take it as it comes, that is, don't feel the need to do that at that moment. You can catch people later; forgive yourself and move on.

11/15 Some bad memories come in the form of harm to ourselves from others. No matter how bad the memory, you must forgive others that do you harm; the longer you hold ire for another, the longer you allow another to drain energy from you. Believe me, I know!

12/15 You need to know that some bad memories will try to break out of your filing cabinet and draw your energy, but don't let then by slamming the drawer shut and locking it back up. This becomes easier with practice.

13/15 Bad memories can also have negative impacts on our emotional and physical health, so be careful. Seek help if needed; you do not have to do this alone, I didn't. Also, remember that good memories will help to bring balance to your life.

14/15 So what happens when you get all the clutter out of your way and you're finished building your beautiful book? That's an answer you will have to find out on your own, but I'll say that what I found is something beautiful, I found me and I found my way. Now find yours.

If you can't find it within yourself to smile, try frowning upside down.
