As someone who tracks the numbers and mathematical functions of this plague *(for my own amazement and amusement), I thought it might be interesting for folks to realize that with today's numbers, we have reached the impact rate on Amercans of 17 9/11 events Per day. every day. And growing. (Not fatalities yet. I mis-posted earlier in my dispair over this administrations treatment of our citizens). Thus far, in fatalities, we have amassed 43 9/11's worth of dead.
So when the Trump Humpers tell you that we need to open the economy wide, and sorry about a few old folks, remind him, this is 43 9/11's worth of dead, so far and 17 9/11's per day in impacted people. Every day. And growing.

Forty 9/11's worth of dead so far
It was 1 month from the first officially reported US death due to Covid-19 until we reached the same number of fatalities as occurred on 9/11.
It took 4 additional days for us to reach two 9/11's worth of dead Americans.
It took 3 more days after that to reach three 9/11's worth of dead Americans.
It took about 5 more days after that to double that number and reach about 6 9/11's worth of dead Americans.
And now, a little over 2 months later, we are past 40 9/11's worth of dead Americans.
In a little over 3 months we have lost the equivalent of 40 9/11's worth of dead. Or 2 full Vietnam wars worth of dead.
Where are all of those patriotic Bubba's I saw after 9/11, driving their diesel pickups around, belligerently flying the American flag (while ripping it to shreds and soiling it with road dirt and smoke), proudly proclaiming "These colors don't run".
What are all of these misbegotten cretins doing except trying as hard as they can to spread a new fatal disease as widely as they can so that their cult puppet master, the one who takes his marching orders from Putin, can destroy what is left of this country before he is turned out of office and run out of town?
As of yesterday, 2 Vietnam Wars worth of dead to Covid-19
Yesterday we hit the milestone of losing 2 Vietnam war's worth of dead Americans. It took 58 days of the pandemic attack to hit the first alotment, and it has now taken 48 more days to hit the second alotment.
During the late '60s and early '70s, I remember the local TV station rolling the names of the day's war dead, with somber music playing in the background. This went on for years, and it seemed at the time insufferable. Now, this isn't taking years. In the past 48 days, we have lost as many Americans as we did in Vietnam from 1955 to 1975. In the past 106 days we have lost twice that amount.
And, given what is happening in Texas and Florida and Oklahoma and Arizona, and, and, and and........ we are on track to lose another Vietnam war's worth of Americans in an even shorter period.
Luckily, Dumpy the Wonder Prezidunce has given us a perfect solution. Just stop testing, just stop counting and the losses will stop. That's just what I would expect from a "Stable Genius".
