Suspect in Virginia Muslim teen slaying detained by ICE

Authorities arrested Darwin Martinez Torres on Sunday after he allegedly beat and killed Nabra Hassanen, a high school student from Reston, in what police have described as an act of road rage.
An ICE spokeswoman issued a statement Monday confirming that ICE has issued a detainer request, indicating probable cause that Torres was in the country illegally, The Daily Caller reported.
“On June 19, ICE lodged a detainer on Darwin Martinez Torres, a citizen and national of El Salvador, with the Adult Detention Center in Fairfax, Virginia. ICE lodges detainers on aliens who have been arrested on local criminal charges when the agency has probable cause to believe an alien is removable from the United States. Mr. Martinez Torres has no prior encounters with ICE,” ICE spokeswoman Carissa Cutrell told the website, adding that the agency was unaware he was in the states.

He is not being fired. He is not being cancelled. No one wants to "get rid of him" as long as he takes the right price on the dotted line.
If in early June when his contract is up, he does not sign another one he is a free agent. Pure and simple. MSNBC will not be able to put on a Lawrence O' Donnell program because they won't have the rights to him anymore.
I just feel like this needs to be stated because some people here act like they've never seen this before. I guess if you don't follow sports or entertainment in general, you haven't.
If MSNBC wanted him gone, they'd have done it probably six months ago. He'd be a lame duck otherwise if they had another plan for his time slot.
I love Larry, I hope he gets every dollar he asks for....just don't be disappointed when you find out, it is about money. I've seen people shit on Rachael here for becoming too embedded in her "fancy Manhattan lifestyle". Larry is a talent who gets good ratings and his contract is up at the right time for him to get PAID or move on to something more lucrative.
Maryland teens charged with hate crimes for setting President Trump campaign sign on fire
Joy Shuford and D'Asia Perry, both 19, are accused of lighting a "Make America Great Again" sign on fire in Princess Anne, a small town on Maryland's eastern coast, the state fire marshal's office said in a statement.
The sign, which also totes failed GOP Senate candidate Kathy Szeliga's name, was detected torched by authorities on Friday. Pictures show minor fire damage to the sign's bottom left corner.
The blaze apparently spread in the grass below the sign, causing an estimated $800-worth of damages, according to officials.
"The intentional burning of these political signs, along with the beliefs, religious views and race of this political affiliation, directly coincides with the victim," the officer wrote in charging documents.
