CNBC - "Its time to seriously consider that Trump is unfit to be president"

It is quite clear that this president is unfamiliar with constitutional law and, understandably, may not yet heard about the 25th Amendment.
For his edification, Section IV of the Amendment states:
"Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President."

*******!!!!
Since taking the oath of office, he has impugned his predecessors and, according to some published estimates, made over 400 unsubstantiated claims in the mere three months he has sat in the Oval.
And, since March of 2015, when then citizen Trump began exploring a run for the White House, I maintained that he did not have the requisite skills, temperament or character to occupy the Oval Office.
His most recent behavior not only confirms those observations, in my opinion, but also goes well beyond the realm of being simply ill-suited for the job.
For the good of the country, our people, our allies, and to a much lesser extent, even our enemies, Congress should give that amendment a fresh look and, if agreed, make use of it.
103 days already seems too long.

Trump SCREAMED AT TELEVISION over Russia investigation - advisor

President Donald Trump weighed firing his FBI director for more than a week. When he finally pulled the trigger Tuesday afternoon, he didn't call James Comey. He sent his longtime private security guard to deliver the termination letter in a manila folder to FBI headquarters.

He had grown enraged by the Russia investigation, two advisers said, frustrated by his inability to control the mushrooming narrative around Russia. He repeatedly asked aides why the Russia investigation wouldn’t disappear and demanded they speak out for him. He would sometimes scream at television clips about the probe, one adviser said.

BBC - Did President Trump fire James Comey as part of a cover-up?

Donald Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey caught Washington by complete surprise. No one - in Congress, in conservative circles, even in the FBI itself - seemingly had an inkling of what was in store.
As politicians and pundits survey the fallout, here are a few of the big questions they are likely to contemplate.
Was it a cover-up?
The abruptness and timing of Mr Comey's dismissal, to put it mildly, is highly suspicious.
Just over a week ago, the FBI director talked about his agency's investigation into Russian meddling in the US presidential election - and possible Russian ties to the Trump campaign - before a Senate committee.
He was scheduled to appear before Congress again to discuss "worldwide threats" on Thursday.

Trump Hires Law Firm to Fight Suggestions of Russia Business Ties title

Source: NBC NEWS

President Donald Trump has hired a Washington law firm to send a letter to a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee saying he has no connections to Russia, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Tuesday.

Spicer's revelation was in response to a question from reporters on a briefing about committee member Sen. Lindsey Graham's remarks that he wants to look into whether Trump has any business dealings with Russia.

"The president, obviously, was aware of Senator Graham's suggestion after he made it today and he's fine with that. He has no business in Russia. He has no connections to Russia. So he welcomes that," Spicer said.

It's LEAK TIME!

If Comey has the goods on Trump, he probably already gave them to Congress.

If not, he should give the info to the press.

The truth shall set you free - but not until it's finished with you.

FBI Director James Comey has been fired

FBI Director James Comey has been fired, according to the White House.

"Today, President Donald J. Trump informed FBI Director James Comey that he has been terminated and removed from office," the White House statement reads.

"President Trump acted based on the clear recommendations of both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions," the statement said.

In addition to a statement, the White House released the letter that Trump wrote directly to Comey dismissing him at the recommendation of the attorney general and the deputy attorney general, "effective immediately."

"While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau," Trump wrote.

Special Act Blue/Kos Fund targeting House GOP hits 1 MILLION IN 24 HOURS!

This is unbelievable. No, not that House Republicans voted to take health care from 24 million people and then celebrated with beer and a White House photo op—that’s all too believable—but the productive fury with which the grassroots responded. In just over 24 hours, the Daily Kos fundraising effort targeting 24 vulnerable Republicans who voted for Trumpcare has raised $1 million. That is one million dollars from more than 21,000 small donors. As Daily Kos political director David Nir said Thursday, and the community followed through on, “We will raise in five hours what we raised for Jon Ossoff in a week and for Elizabeth Warren in a year.”

This isn’t just about the money that will go to the eventual Democratic nominees facing those 24 Republicans, though that’s an important piece of the puzzle. This is also about sending a message to Republicans, including Senate Republicans, that voting against affordable health care will have consequences. So it’s important that the word gets out about what the Democratic grassroots is doing here—at Daily Kos and elsewhere. And yes, word is getting out.

The Atlantic: “Democrats target vulnerable Republicans over Obamacare repeal vote.”

Vox: “’I’ve never seen anything like this’: progressives see huge donation spike after AHCA vote.”

Washington Examiner: “Liberals raise $2 million off GOP healthcare bill.”

Business Insider: “Democratic groups raised millions for 2018 after House Republicans passed their healthcare overhaul.”

"Want to take immediate revenge on House Republicans who voted to destroy health care? Here's how"

From Kos.
There is a special contribution button for Act Blue in the article. Follow the link to stick it to these swine.

Moat satisfying $25 I've ever spent.

"We’ve identified the following 24 “yes” votes as among the most endangered Republicans up for re-election next year, so we’re adding all of these districts to our new slate of nominee funds:

District Republican District Republican
AZ-02 McSally, Martha IL-06 Roskam, Peter
CA-10 Denham, Jeff IL-13 Davis, Rodney
CA-21 Valadao, David IL-14 Hultgren, Randy
CA-25 Knight, Steve KS-03 Yoder, Kevin
CA-39 Royce, Ed MI-11 Trott, Dave
CA-45 Walters, Mimi MN-02 Lewis, Jason
CA-48 Rohrabacher, Dana MN-03 Paulsen, Erik
CA-49 Issa, Darrell NE-02 Bacon, Don
FL-25 Diaz-Balart, Mario NJ-11 Frelinghuysen, Rodney
FL-26 Curbelo, Carlos TX-07 Culberson, John
IA-01 Blum, Rod TX-32 Sessions, Pete
IA-03 Young, David VA-02 Taylor, Scott
A big surge in donations now would have huge salutary effects right away: It would both terrify Republicans and boost Democratic efforts to recruit good candidates. Of course, it would also help us defeat these Republicans next year. And as it happens, 24 is exactly the number of seats we need to take back the House.

So make them pay: Donate $1 right now to each of the Democratic nominee funds targeting vulnerable House Republicans who voted to destroy access to health care."
