Since the cycle started, Democrats have bet they could net four or five seats with a specific eye on Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Illinois and Florida, but the prospect of Cruz or Trump on the top of the ticket is making them more bullish.
Now, Democrats are seriously looking at expanding their map to North Carolina, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana and even Iowa states with strong incumbents once viewed as hard to knock off. In Iowa, Democrats successfully recruited former state agricultural secretary and lieutenant Gov. Patty Judge to challenge six-term incumbent Sen. Chuck Grassley.

Todd Kaminsky leads Chris McGrath in race for Skelos seat

Democratic Assemb. Todd Kaminsky held a narrow lead Tuesday night over Republican Christopher McGrath in the special election to replace former Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos with control of the Senate potentially in the balance.
With all precincts in Nassaus 9th Senate District reporting, Kaminsky led by just 780 votes, garnering 49.9 percent of the vote to McGraths 48.8 percent....

Hillary Clinton on Sunday agreed to participate in an upcoming debate hosted by ABC News' "Good Morning America" -- saying in an exclusive interview this morning, "I'll be there."
"I want a debate, and I'm confident that we can work out a time to do that," the Democratic presidential candidate told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos.
"'GMA' offered a debate during 'GMA' on Friday the 15th. I'll be there," she added. "I think it's a great opportunity to reach an audience that may not always be able because of other obligations to tune in to debates."
