Just in time for Q-PAC!

Lincoln Project strikes again!

Stacey Abrams: "Our democracy experienced a near-death experience..."

"...Here's how to revive it."

The violent Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, coupled with ongoing threats to election officials, election workers and lawmakers at all levels, represent unprecedented attacks on the foundations of our democracy. Certainly, President Donald Trump and others in his party who inspired the attacks must be held accountable through all available means. But accountability alone will not be nearly enough.

Only meaningful reforms can undo the damage done — and establish a government that is truly representative of the people. The next real test of our democracy comes now.

Make no mistake: Democracy may have survived this year, but President Biden and Vice President Harris were elected despite, not thanks to, weakened electoral systems. Together with the Democratic Congress, they now have the opportunity to implement reforms that reaffirm our nation’s promises that our country represents and works for everyone. We as Democrats must act before it is too late.
Emphasis added. Source: WaPo

As you may recall, Ms. Abrams served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2017, serving as minority leader from 2011 to 2017. She founded Fair Fight Action, an organization to address voter suppression, in 2018. She ran (unsuccessfully) for governor, and has since fought for voters' rights, especially leading up to the run-off for both GA Senate seats. Certainly someone to keep an eye on in the coming days...

Florida Democrat who represents Parkland delivers emotional appeal for removing Greene

Source: Washington Post

Rep. Ted Deutch (D-Fla.) appealed to his colleagues that they strip Greene of her committee assignments, describing how he’d cried with parents of students killed in Parkland, Fla., and how he carries in his wallet a list of their names so they aren’t forgotten in Congress.

Deutch said Greene’s peddling of conspiracy theories about the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School as a “false flag” event is devastating to those grieving families.

“There are not words in the English language to properly describe how the remarks of Ms. Greene makes these communities feel. They are still suffering. They will suffer forever,” he said.

Doing nothing, Deutch said, sends a message that lawmakers “will tolerate this conduct.”

SEDITION! a la Randy Rainbow

"So, how does a desperate, lame-duck president with his boot-licking minions with no hope or evidence try to overturn an election that they've clearly lost, multiple times?

As much as I wish they hadn't brought up the nefarious actions of Repukes, it still illustrates how to rise above the noise.
