Happy to be vaxxed!

Just got another COVID jab. Since the beginning, I've been getting Moderna. I had an appointment with RiteAid, but they came back after a few minutes with "your insurance is denying covering the vaccination." I called them, but they were closed.

So I drove around, found another pharmacy. Asked if I could get a vaccine. They checked the insurance. Everything was fine, but they only had Pfizer. That was fine with me.

I still don't know why RiteAid said my insurance wouldn't cover it.

If I may tell a vaccine anecdote:
When I was young, I had a job that was VERY busy during the holidays. Our manager (an ex Sea Bee), told us we had to get a flu vaccine (the company was offering it to employees). We didn't think at the time that there was a choice, and me and my co-worker weren't excited about the jab in the arm, but we went and got the shot. I was nervous and tense, and the thing hurt my shoulder for a week.

Later that year (December 31st to be exact), I went to a party that dozens of my friends were at (which included my roommates). It was a small 1 bedroom house, packed with people partying for a few hours.

Well, January 1st came and went, and then by the January 2nd (which was a Saturday), every single person that I knew at that party was horribly sick in bed with the flu—including my roommates. Rumors said that "so-and-so" had come to the party sick, and unknowingly passed it around.

I was talking to someone on the phone who was also sick from the party, and told them that I was feeling great. It was like I was the last man on earth: nobody wanted to go out and do anything.

I didn't realize it then, but years later it hit me that I had been vaccinated for the flu earlier that year. Thanks boss!

I have been get the flu vaccine every year since. There was one year that I guess they got it wrong, and I got a very mild flu, but believe me, it's worth it to get vaxxed.

Someone in a neighboring seat, must have said "Beetlejuice" three times.

I love how some media sources are calling it “the Beetlejuice date.”

Ukraine. Anyone have any ideas why there have been so many military changes lately?

I'm concerned that military leaders are either getting frustrated or that there are possible nefarious people being removed.

I so want this to be over for Ukraine—and putin to be left to rot in a small, frozen pond.

Couldn't believe I saw this on the local news (KCAL 9)...

God, how I have hoped to see something like this since 2016—and it's finally here.
What's with the people laughing/smiling? I don't think the judge will look on that kindly.

If tfg is found guilty, do you believe he will be imprisoned?

Look at the special treatment they are all getting now.
It’s been said time and again, but I believe that the rich live by a different set of laws and punishments.

It's Trabuco Canyon, California.
The news headline was too long for the post headline.

FaceBook pun, equals restrictions

I posted a pun about a post and said, "I did nazi that coming" (as in "I did not see that coming" ).

FB removed my comment and put a ton of restrictions on me. The restrictions are no big deal because I don't use any of those features they applied the restrictions to (which is kind of funny).

But actually, I think it was a good thing because they said it was due to me being reported as a sympathizer. I'm guessing they have a search engine that finds certain phrases, and puts them on watch. Some bored reviewer probably said, "WTF. Block."

Anyways, I'm not a nazi sympathizer, and reported the report by telling them it was a pun. We'll see what happens.
