SunSeeker's JournalCBS battleground poll: Partisans divide on news of FBI, emails
Source: CBS News
News of the FBIs decision spread quickly through the battleground states eight in ten likely voters had heard about it by Saturday and partisans quickly went to their respective corners: Republicans think its bad and expect the emails to contain things damaging to Clinton, and most Democrats say too much is being made of it. While a sizeable third of Democrats also say its bad, we found yet another reminder that the election has become a relative choice between the two candidates: those same Democrats also feel the email matter is not as bad as things they dislike about Donald Trump, so they arent re-evaluating their vote.
...
Theres a suggestion the new email issue could limit Clintons chances of growing beyond the base that already supports her. Only 5 percent of Democrats say it could make them less likely to vote for Clinton, and among voters overall, 71 percent say it either wont change their thinking, or in some cases, theyre already voted.
Most of those who say theyre less likely to vote for Clinton are Republicans, who are not supporting her anyway. Just 5 percent say it all depends on what is in the emails, a wait-and-see approach. Overall, 52 percent of battleground voters expect the emails to contain more of what we already know and 48 percent - the largest group of which are Republicans expect things that are additionally damaging to Clinton.

Hackers breach Clinton campaign chairman's Twitter account
Source: CNN
John Podesta's Twitter account was hacked on Wednesday, according to a campaign spokesman, prompting the campaign to inform the social media site of the breach.
The hack comes in the midst of the ongoing release of Podesta's emails, which was stolen and are now being released by Wikileaks. The emails have been embarrassing for the Clinton campaign, bringing internal machinations of the campaign -- and some off-color comments -- into the public.
On Wednesday, as Clinton landed in Las Vegas, Podesta's seemingly tweeted, "I've switched teams. Vote Trump 2016. Hi pol."

Why Ohio is leaving Donald Trump for Hillary Clinton
Its a message that popular Ohio Democrats like Senator Sherrod Brown and Congressman Tim Ryan also sunk their teeth into as they waded through one-time Democratic bastions along Ohios eastern border during a bust tour with Bill Clinton.
Donald Trump, all he does is run his mouth and pad his pockets, Brown told a riled up crowd last week at a Union Hall in Canton after blasting Trump for buying Chinese steel.
Ryans introduction of Clinton was even more intense. He will gut you and he will walk over your cold dead body and he wont even flinch, he said of Trump at a pancake breakfast in Youngstown.
Clinton matched their insults with his wifes plan to invest in American manufacturing and infrastructure, grow labor unions, and raise wages, a message that finally seems to be taking hold in Northeast Ohio, where Trump has tried to run up the score with the white working class.
Bill Clinton seems like a pretty decent messenger for that demographic Ohio is whiter than the nation and its white population is less educated than the nation, Kyle Kondik, the managing editor of Sabatos Crystal Ball, told CBS News. And if Trump over performs with that demographic, its a problem. So I do think its smart for her to limit the losses amongst that group because thats almost half the voters in Ohio.

Turns Out Donald Trump Once Fired A Woman For Using ‘Locker Room Talk’
The clip, which was tweeted out Monday from The Daily Show account, shows Trump dismissing professional wrestler Maria Kanellis after she said crap in his boardroom, a word much less obscene than the phrase grab her by the p***y. The reason why I said you were so arrogant was because you came in our dressing room and you took a crap and left the stench in the room, Kanellis says in the video, referencing an incident with her fellow contestant, chef Curtis Stone.
The reality TV host then comes to the defense of Stone, the man who allegedly entered the womens dressing room uninvited, and criticized the wrestler for her language. Trump called Kanellis story a little below the belt and said her comments were sort of gross and disgusting, before delivering the final blow.
This is my boardroom, its not a locker room, Trump said. Maria, youre fired.

NBC: Pence Says Trump Didn't Say Those Insults. He Did.
"To be honest, if Donald Trump said all those things you said he said, in the way you said he said those things, he wouldn't have a fraction of the insults that Hillary Clinton leveled when she said half of our supporters were a basket of deplorables." -- Mike Pence
Pence claimed Trump didn't say a long list of insults, but he did.
Here's what Kaine said: "Donald Trump during his campaign has called Mexicans rapists and criminals. He's called women dogs, pigs, slobs, disgusting
He attacked an Indiana-born federal judge and said he was unqualified to hear a federal lawsuit because his parents were Mexican. He went after John McCain, a POW, and said he wasn't a hero because he was captured. He said African-Americans are living in hell, and he perpetrated this outrageous and bigoted lie that President Obama is not a U.S. citizen."
