Do They Get It Now...?

Do you conservatives finally get it? The country is changing for the better, we are progressing, we are finally moving ahead. The old ideology no longer works, we are no longer a people stuck in the 1950's.

Its time to put down the bigotry and the hatred. Who cares if two men or two women love each other and want to marry one another? What right do you have to tell them "no they cannot"? Bibl
ical definition of marriage? The biblical definition of marriage was "Hey Ezekiel, your daughter just had her first bleed. I got a few extra sheep, wanna trade?". That is no exaggeration either.

Yes a black man is president, that same black man was re-elected president. Get out of that old dixiecrat southern mentality and join the rest of the country in the 21st century. Minorities are allowed to vote, allowed to live their lives in peace with the rest of the world, and yes *GASP* hold the office of the most powerful individual in the free world.

You can have your religion, no one has the right to take that away from you, and no one is trying to take it away. On the same token, you do not have the right to force the beliefs that you espouse on anyone else. I am an atheist, I do not believe in a god, but at the same time I believe that you have the right to believe. As much as the revisionists try to change and rewrite history, our country was NOT founded on the christian belief system. Most of the founding fathers were Freemasons, Deists and (omg) agnostics. They believed that the best way to secure freedom of religion was to secure freedom FROM religion.

There is no one coming to take your guns, as much as I disagree with it, the Second Amendment is here to stay. It is a frontier law from a time when we had no standing army. I get it though, you people love your guns, fine, like I said no one is coming for your guns. Our country had dissolved into "whoo hoo, Joey lets go blow something up!" hopefully we are moving away from that mentality. But, I can live with it.

Women are POWERFUL in our world. The female vote broke overwhelmingly for the president. Instead of declaring war on the sex that actually makes the world go round (YOU TRY PASSING A SOFT BALL THROUGH YOUR PENIS), worship them. Put them up on the pedestal where they belong. Equal pay, equal rights, its not hard. If a woman is doing the same job as a man, she deserves the same pay. And recognize that you do not have the right to tell her what she can and cannot do with HER body.

Liberals are not looking for a handout like so many of you think, we are looking for a level playing field. The disparity between the haves and the have-nots has never been larger. The way things are in our country now, the rich will be only ones to make any money to ever live comfortable, to ever live that American Dream. All we are looking for is for things to be fair once again, for everyone to have their chance at realizing their hopes, their goals, their dreams.

No one should work in this country and worry about how they are going to provide for, care for and feed their family. No one in this country should EVER have to decide between prescriptions for one of their children or food on the table for the entire family. No one should EVER fall through the cracks in this nation.

This country WAS great, and I say that knowing that we can BE AGAIN. We are at the pinnacle now people, teetering one way or the other. It is time. It is time to put away the bickering, the polarization, the partisanship. It is time to roll up our sleeves and get to work, and prove to the world that we ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!! THERE IS NOTHING WE CANT DO, NO BRIDGE WE CANNOT BUILD, NO STAR THAT WE CANNOT REACH! Prove to the world that yes, WE ARE THE USA, AND WE ARE BACK!!!!
