How does a person go to current day Who Is ??

One of the four domain names we use in our personal lives and business is about to expire.

i need to know who to pay. I also need to know if the folks at this "domain name registration" service are legit. They claim that I paid them $ 66 last year on the 11th and need to do it again. I doubt I ever paid anybody $ 66 for a single domain name for a single year.

Where do I go to find out about this matter?

App developer's business question.

A friend and I have a great idea for an app.

Now here is what we need to find out - (And we are using a hypothetical to not give away our good idea)

Let's say it is sometime in the past, 20xx, rather than 2016.

And we have a great idea for an app that would let your smart phone determine how many calories are being burned, how many steps you have taken, yr heart rate etc.

No one else that we know of has done this yet (it is after all, the year 20xx)

So do we first patent our idea? (I don't think patents are allowed, but figure folks here would know more than me.)

Also, how do we find out if someone else is doing this, and maybe so far along in the process
that we shouldn't bother? With patents a person in Calif can simply go down to an office in Sunnyvale, or even on line, and research their good idea, but with apps, how do you know what is being worked on?

Thanks to any and all replies.

Naomi Klein's 8th point of fascism

has now arrived here in the USA.

Back in the days of George W, Naomi Klein had her excellently detailed analysis "The Ten Points of Fascism" published and then almost immediately those points were printed and re-printed in newspapers and blogs across the globe.

Point Eight involved the control of the press by the uber forces of Corporate Take Over of all discussion.

So regarding last night's AP announcment of Clinton winning, I must mention upfront that I was not that surprised by the Associated Propaganda branch of news distribution, and whatever CIA directive they received to do this.

I have on several occasions put up for review my own analysis of the Associated Propaganda's lack of truthiness, although in 2008 when I made my initial critique, it was related to the Corporate Take Over of Science, and the media, and not the takeover of politics news by fascistic forces. (See *** at bottom for my Daily Kos article, from several years back.)

In any event, last night, a good fifteen hours before polling places in California and elsewhere opened for voters, The AP made the stunning announcement that the election was over, as Hillary Clinton had amassed the correct number of delegates.

According to Clinton Campaign spokesperson Michael Briggs, " "It is unfortunate that the media, in a rush to judgement, are ignoring the Democratic National Committee’s clear statement that it is wrong to count the votes of superdelegates before they actually vote at the convention this summer." "Secretary Clinton does not have and will not have the requisite number of pledged delegates to secure the nomination. She will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then."

It should also be noted that most political wonks have already voted. Even in my household, for a long time a most sacred bastion of procrastination, one of us had already voted by noon on Monday.

Today, my polling place was empty of other voters when I arrived at eleven Am, and polling workers mentioned that 80 percent of my county's voters had already voted by mail.

So the AP is a bit out of luck in terms of the damage it wanted to afflict.

Perhaps more destructive to democracy as the AP announcement is the very existence of superdelegates. Or as Mr Glenn Greenwald stated: "The decisive edifice of super-delegates is itself anti-democratic and inherently corrupt: designed to prevent actual voters from making choices that the party establishment dislikes. But for a party run by insiders and funded by corporate interests, it’s only fitting that their nomination process ends with such an ignominious, awkward and undemocratic sputter."

Other decent discussion on this issue can be found in the CommonDreams article, as well in the comments section that follows:

The Military/BigBanking/EducationMoneyLending Establishment is surprised!

The Establishment, which includes the Old Guard Party leaders, seems to be genuinely surprised and perplexed that people are rejecting their version of "democracy." Which shouldn't really surprise them,
at all.

For after all is said and done, their version of democracy is really "Only the rich get anything resembling democracy - the rest of you retards get what we tell you you'll get."

There is an entire article over at CommonDreams that details what is going on.

http://www.commondreams.org/views/2016/05/20/establishment-collectively-stunned-see-citizens-reject-rigged-democratic-primary

Several pargaphs from that article:
Yet, there are several examples of how the Democratic presidential primary is and has been rigged: hundreds of superdelegates pledged their allegiance to Clinton before votes were cast in Iowa, a limited number of debates were scheduled to ensure voters had the least amount of exposure to Clinton opponents, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton campaign falsely accused the Sanders campaign of “stealing” voter file data, the Hillary Victory Fund has funneled millions of dollars through state parties to the DNC, and Democratic women supporting Sanders have faced forms of retaliation.

Senator Harry Reid called the president of the Culinary Workers Union in Nevada for the sole purpose of ensuring “tens of thousands of casino workers” would not have to work on the day of the caucuses. The union president did Clinton a favor, let workers off with pay, and workers from six major Las Vegas casinos showed up to help make certain Clinton did not lose.

The Democratic National Committee has stacked the deck against the Sanders campaign by only appointing three of the 45 people he recommended for the Democratic National Convention committees. Critically, former Representative Barney Frank—a Clinton surrogate, who has been vitriolic in his criticism of Sanders—will co-chair the important Rules Committee. The lack of inclusion of Sanders representatives on the committee virtually guarantees a repeat of much of the disorder witnessed in Nevada—not because Sanders supporters are disposed to troublemaking, but because the DNC openly intends to stifle their efforts to influence what unfolds at the convention.

Bernie Sanders is a Senator from Vermont. He has no power in Puerto Rico!

The Establishment Candidate, one Hillary Clinton, has deep ties through her promotion of the military/industrial complex to sway the media.

The lies being told from the Corporate-controlled media and from the DNC are exactly what we progressives can expect!

Due to an emergency, I need to be able to "read" floppies!!

Well, it is my computer that needs to be able to read them.

Long story short, someone who was visiting used my CD's that made a bak up of personal writings, rather than using the blank CD's they might have used if they had been in "thoughtful" mode.

Now I need to have some of my writing available in text format. By tomorrow at 4Pm.

The stuff is also on a Terra drive, but I don't know where my spouse and I hid said drive.

So then I remembered the writing I need is also on floppies.

The smaller, "newer" kind of floppies, not the big old four inch plus size. (If anything that old can be considered "new.&quot

My computer of course, thinks that the floppy is some sort of alien life form. It does have a floppy drive, but it keeps telling me the floppy I need should be formatted. I know for certain that it doesn't need to be formatted. It has a bunch of writing on it. (One Meg or what ever the standard floppy formatting allowed back in pre-historic days.)

Is there any hope?

All advice appreciated.

How perfectly apt the DNC's meme -- Everything is all Debbie Wasserman Schultz's doing!

So I turned on the tube last night to watch various programs.

The big spanking new and shiny meme for the week - any corruption, misdeeds and evil lurking inside the DNC is all from Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Those delegates in Nevada that should have been for Bernie but ended up being eliminated or re-assigned to Hillary Clinton - WHY THAT WAS DWS' doing! (Should you need some info smack full of truthiness on this front, pls read
Greg Palast who has the total scoop on this Nevada story:

http://gregpalast.com/media-fabricates-sanders-riot-buries-the-real-story )

If Democratic Big Wigs are too deeply in bed with the Pharmaceutical industry, that must be DWS' doing.

If Democratic Big Wigs like Ed Rendell have bent over and given the "Clean Energy" people the right to frack until their hearts are content and all our water, soil and air is spoiled for generations to come, why that is DWS' doing.

Anyway from everything that the Talking Heads and their various guests who are Democratic "Insider Advisors" are saying, once we get rid of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, we can rest easy. Hilary will see the light and then she and Bill will definitely return any and all Clinton Foundation Monies that were part of the quid pro quo that he worked out during his last year as President. There will be public apologies about various underhanded vote suppression tactics that supposedly would never have occurred if DWS had not been given the top position. (Missouri, Illinois, New Mexico, Arizona.)

Automatically, the re-write of the US Senate Code of Ethics will go back to what it was before DWS was even born!
(That whimpering sound you will hear as the Code of Ethics reverts to what it once was will probably be from Di Feinstein as she realizes that she never again can vote in a war and not recuse herself from that vote if her husband is planning on big time war contracts.)

Congressman Waxman will admit that when Debbie was but a wee young child, she influenced him to get in bed with Big Pharma, and for that he is eternally sorry. Various people in head positions at FDA and CDC will basically be saying what Waxman says.

I for one am so glad that we can locate this central problem, and once it is resolved (in totally simple fashion) by our seeing that Wassserman Schultz fades into the sunset, then we can all go back to our fabulous lives inside a really really great United States, where every vote truly counts and every single item put on the market has been tested for safety and for its ability to improve our intelligence by 200%.

So, Sen Barbara Boxer: Which is more worrisome? Shots actually fired on a HQ's, or 100 vocal people?

And one must also ponder, why wouldn't activists for Bernie be vocal, when the rules of the Nevada Caucus were deliberately ignored?

I for one was extremely pleased to see that Sen Sanders firmly stood his ground and made the following statement:
"It is imperative that the Democratic leadership, both nationally and in the states, understand
that the political world is changing and that millions of Americans are outraged at
establishment politics and establishment economics. The people of this country want a
government which represents all of us, not just the 1 percent, super PACs and wealthy
campaign contributors.

"The Democratic Party has a choice. It can open its doors and welcome into the party
people who are prepared to fight for real economic and social change – people who are
willing to take on Wall Street, corporate greed and a fossil fuel industry which is destroying
this planet. Or the party can choose to maintain its status quo structure, remain dependent
on big-money campaign contributions and be a party with limited participation and limited
energy.

"Within the last few days there have been a number of criticisms made against my campaign
organization. Party leaders in Nevada, for example, claim that the Sanders campaign has a
'penchant for violence.' That is nonsense. Our campaign has held giant rallies all across this
country, including in high-crime areas, and there have been zero reports of violence. Our
campaign of course believes in non-violent change and it goes without saying that I condemn
any and all forms of violence, including the personal harassment of individuals. But, when we
speak of violence, I should add here that months ago, during the Nevada campaign, shots
were fired into my campaign office in Nevada and apartment housing complex my campaign
staff lived in was broken into and ransacked.
"
But obviously, those supporting the Oligarchy feel differently. Here are quotes off the CNN
recent article:

"He should get things under control," Boxer said of Sanders, saying it was worse than the
vitriol during the Bush-Gore 2000 recount. "We're in a race that is very critical. We have to
be united. He knows that. I have in fact, called him a couple times, left a couple messages.
I'm hopeful he can get control of this."

Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California said "I do" when asked if Sanders should drop out of the
race after voting concludes on June 7, giving Clinton a chance to "pivot" to the general
election ahead of the July convention. "I think it would be most regretful if there becomes a schism," Feinstein said. "That's what Donald Trump should want: a schism in our party. ... It's the responsibility particularly of Sen. Sanders to see that that doesn't happen."

On Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said he had a "long conversation" with
Sanders to lay out what happened in Nevada.
"He said that he condemns that. I'm confident he does," Reid told reporters. "This is a test of
leadership."

However it is noteworthy that there is extreme irony in Sen Feinstein speaking of responsibility. Feinstein is the US Senator who had an aide re-write the entire US Senate Code of Ethics, which then allowed her such mis-uses of power that she not only secured lucrative governmental contracts involving reconstruction in Iraq for her husband Richard Blum's construction business, it seems very likely that she told Blum secrets she had gleaned while being on various top intelligence committees in the US Senate! Although the panels and members of such committees are often not allowed to divulge state secrets, that hardly mattered to Diane "The Lucrative" Feinstein.

It follows that a Senator that acted in the way Feisntein has acted would not at all mind Ms Clinton's private email server mess. So at least no one can accuse Feinstein of hypocrisy!

It should also be noted that while the uber believers and loyalists to Clinton are totally upset about the chair being overturned and the voices raised in Nevada, they don't at all seem to mind that Hillary's right hand campaign man, Brock, offered up the monies to get one of his subordinates to plant child pornography on Facebook pages run by Sanders Supporters. For those of you too enthused about Clinton to think straight, planting child porn on any site for any reason is a felony!

Remember - Our revolution will not be televised - but it will be social media-ed!

I am so grateful to Bernie's sttements in reply to the outrageous conduct and demands of the corrupt DNC.

So don't despair, remember we are working to elect a great man, who will return us to a Democracy. Sanders is a statesman, something we probably have not seen since the days of Wellstone.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

We are going to mobilize. This will turn out okay for us. Hang in there.

Great things are happening. Astrologically, right now the sun in Taurus is friggin screwing with the Public (America's moon in Aquarius)

This means us worker bees are aware and energized and we are rising.

Mobilize by getting on the social media. Don't whine about what CNN is saying. Use Twitter, and use Facebook and start up Pinterest accounts where people can buy yr home made Sanders tee shirts.

The old paradigm is being blasted away. Those who are part of it, those who depend on it, have to make noise - they are being pushed aside.

So pay no attention to the lies and propaganda the guys behind the curtain are blaring at us. They are the last attempts of the truly corrupt as they slink to the ground to go back in their hole.

Never forget: The revolution will not be televised - but it will be tweeted!
