So my doc is happy with my progress.....but there's other stuff going on...

I'm so tired, and it seems as though it's that way most of the time...I felt pretty good this morning, though, and did some laundry!

Sometimes it's so hard to sleep. But I have trouble turning my thoughts off...getting really relaxed takes effort, odd as that may seem...

I'm really not left-handed, so eating is strenuous. Even drinking my coffee is harder because the table I use is set up for right handed use...

And the nightmares. Every night, a different one...last night I dreamed that someone was going to kill me. I woke myself up and then I sat up because I was thinking as long as I sat up, they couldn't hurt me...

Luckily, my husband was awake, and he comforted me till I relaxed...

So, yes, I'm doing better........but it's weird.

**Update**

Well, I went to see my orthopedic surgeon today...

The wound looks good. My blood values are good at 11/32 (Hg/Hct.). I'm still weak and tired but patience grasshopper...

The sling/shoulder immobilizer stays on for 2 more weeks except for PT which will start in earnest tomorrow.

I am sticking my right hand out of the sling for some things, like typing!

Just thought all you good people might want to know...

i'm back and so glad to see all of you

i'm typing left-handed cause my right arm is a sling...just call me eecummings!

i'm tired and need a nap. so this will be short

everything went well in the surgery as my husband told you

the food was good and the coffee was great

i won't be able to answer each person but i will try if there are questions

I am cleared for takeoff...er, surgery, tomorrow.

Today I got my shattered teeth removed and temporary caps applied. Whew, thank goodness that's over! It's not painful, just tedious. My dentist is a very good man, and he takes excellent care of me!

Anyway, my surgeon knows all this, and it's cool.

My right shoulder hurts like hell, and it's time for it to be replaced. I am more than ready!

I know there will be anesthesia weirdness, and post-op weirdness, but that will pass, and I will heal...
