Has The MSM Been Conned By Trump's Carrier Caper?....

It looks like they have fallen for it - hook, line & sinker.

For A Candidate That Ran Against Establishment Politics - Trump Has In Fact.....

embraced establishment politics in his job picks for his cabinet and beyond.

When will it dawn on his supporters that he's gone back on his campaign promises and conned them into voting for him at their own peril?

As A President's Health Is Important - Will....

Donald Trump now have to undergo a physical by MD's at Walter Reed or some other governmental/military hospital? Is this mandatory? Or does Trump have the ability to use his present MD - that looks like something out of a hippy commune.

Then When Hillary Won The Nomination She Should Have....

directed her campaign against the Repugs instead of directing her campaign against Trump.

I believe it was a tactical mistake by her campaign not to take after the Repugs. They thought if they would take on Trump they would capture the votes of those anti-Trump Repugs and they didn't want to piss them off associating these anti-Trumpers with the Repugs.

The Dems in general - including the Obama's, Biden and even Bill - went after Trump when the real enemy was the Repug Party.

The Repug Clown Car lost their primary to Trump because they did the same thing - they made it about Trump.

Hillary's campaign should have realized and seen that going after Trump was a losing proposition. They didn't.

So it's a nice try to blame this on Bernie - but it was Hillary, her campaign and the Dems that didn't attack the real enemy - The Repug Party - that from the day Obama was inaugurated - vowed to make him a one term President and did everything in their power to gridlock this country and stonewall every logical and right thing to bring this country back from the brink of the disaster that BushCo left us with.

Obama and the Dems could have made America Great Again - but The Repugs stonewalled them every step of the way.

And guess what - America rewarded the and gave them the trifecta. We blew the best chance we've had in 2016 to right this country and now we wonder if we'll ever recover.

If Trump Was Smart He Can Win The Hearts And Minds Of Millennials & Seniors If He.....

works on absolving the debt of college loans and maintains and strengthens Medicare and Social Security.

The money once owed for these college loans will now be funneled into the economy as without this debt hanging over them - they can now - get married, start a family, buy a house, furnish the house, etc. Essentially putting the money into the economy.

Maintaining and strengthening Medicare and SS will cement the hearts and minds of the baby boomers and take away a lot of stress and anxiety in their old age. They can relax and enjoy retirement and spend some of their retirement monies on travel and entertainment, their grandchildren, etc. Again, their money would be pumped into the economy.

Monies like this will churn the economy and create demand for product - hence jobs.

Now if he only does 'infrastructure' the right way - he will create more jobs and further boost the economy.

But I fear that the establishment Repugs (McConnell & Ryan) will hijack Trump's presidency and ram through the old Repug agenda that they've been touting for years. Any repercussions that they may encounter - they will blame on Trump as he will be their fall guy.

We are on the precipice here - and the deciding factor will be if Trump really decides to be a president for all Americans.

I hope Trump is smarter than that and can control those establishment Repugs. The future is in his hands.

I'm willing to give him a chance to do the right thing. I'll be his biggest critic if he succumbs to the whims of the establishment Repugs. the Koch Bros and the 1%'ers.

What Is The Rush Of Calling The Election The Night Of?....

Why is the election called so fast? Why should a candidate concede so fast?

Haven't we learned that all kinds of shennanigans go on around the country and polling is off that leads to all kinds of questions regarding the veracity of the results?

Shouldn't we take the time after election day to verify the results - maybe some standard audit - before the results are made official and a winner declared?

Wouldn't that be a sane way to deal with all the issues regarding rigging, fraud, hacking, etc.

I put this up for discussion here because it seems that after every election we run into these questions and issues.

An official audit of all results should be standard operating procedure before the results are certified and a winner declared.

And this should be for all elections - not only the presidency.

I think it would solve a lot of problems.

What Is Happening In The Governor's Race In North Carolina Is How It Would Have Played Out.....

nationally - if Hillary won the election and Trump lost.

No concession. Recount. Possible push to the State Assembly (Congress on a National basis).

We Dems are just too nice.

Attacking (Trump) vs Attacking The Party (The Repugs).....

Please take a look at this link. I posted this back in August of this year. Follow the responses in the thread as well.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512383703

I believed then and still do now that the biggest tactical error that the Dem campaign made was not taking on the Repug Party and taking them to task during the campaign.

The Dems in Congress and the States - including the Hillary Campaign, the President, Michelle and Biden chose to attack Trump versus attacking the Repug Party as a whole.

The climate in the country was one of wanting change - because of the perception that nothing was being done to move this country forward. Trump was running and outsider campaign - saying - he and he alone can make change and we can't leave it up to the establishment in which he painted Hillary as the establishment candidate.

The Dems purposely stayed away from attacking the Repug Party because it was felt that the Dems could pick up votes from those Repugs that hated Trump.

However, it was the Repugs that put us in this situation - starting with the Bush Administration, the war, the recession, etc - and they doubled down on that with saying that they wanted to make President Obama a one term President and then proceeded to block most every effort he made to move this country forward. Then the Repugs blamed Obama for any lack of progress and all the negative repercussions because of THEIR sandbagging of Obama.

This reality didn't really form the basis of the Dem campaign to win in November. Instead - like the Repug Clown Car Candidates that went up against Trump and lost because they attacked him - the Dems fell prey to the same fate as these Clowns. They attacked Trump and Trump always found a way to move the discussion back to the Dems, the President and Hillary.

Many Americans didn't take time to really get to the bottom of this gridlocking/sandbagging and instead believed that it was President Obama and the Dems that were the cause of their misfortunes. They believed Trump's ramblings and the MSM didn't help much in pointing the blame to the Repug Party.

All along the campaign we heard things like the Repug Party was in demise and wouldn't survive this election because of the in-fighting amongst themselves. And lo and behold look what happened - the Repugs won the Trifecta and now are probably stronger than ever.

We needed to put the emphasis on how the Repug Party cocked up this country and not as much emphasis on the antics of Donald Trump.

As a Monday morning quarterback - it's more evident now than it was then. I believe this was the biggest tactical error committed by the Dems in this Presidential Campaign.

What is telling are some of the responses by our own DU people to my above post. (again check out that link)

We got drawn into attacking the 'Personality' vs attacking the 'Repug Party'. And guess what - it worked like a charm for the Repug Party.

Again - as a Postmortem - this is my opinion. I'm interested in others opinions regarding my analysis.

The election is history now - we need to put this election and the primary behind us now and come together as a Party ourselves.

Billy Bush Lost His Job....

and Donald Trump is the president-elect.

Ain't that a kick in the pants.

I Don't Think Trump Realizes He Has The Ability To Perhaps Do Good Things....

Unfortunately he has been hijacked by establishment Repugs that have taken him over and will push thru their failed policies that will damage the U.S.

When the damage has been done they will blame it on Trump. They are just using him now.

He is not smart enough to see this and that will be his downfall.
