as this disaster drags on - and you can begin to see it already - the people of the area are getting more and more frustrated and angry. The last thing Trump wants to do is to face some angry flood/hurricane victims.
Also - another reason for him not to go to Houston - is because I don't think he wants a photo op with the black Mayor of the city. This Mayor in my opinion is doing a fantastic job managing the situation that he was dealt.

I bet they are picking the people they will be talking with. You know it's a photo op and all the people he'll be talking to will praise him.
I hope he goes off script cause he'll be saying some outlandish things. There is no way he can identify with these people left without homes. He has no empathy. He'll be talking about himself and how wonderful he handled this disaster.
You know somehow he'll step in it.
Many Repugs down in Texas. I hope somebody challenges him on climate change. How can these Texans - victims of climate change - support a climate change denying Party?

and load two of every type of 'deplorable' on it to protect his base and assure re-election in 2020. (sarcasm)

It Is Now Up To The Repug Party To Do The Right Thing Now......
they need to make up their mind - Country or Party. They need to stand up to Trump and begin impeachment proceedings immediately. They need to stop this mad man - before he inflicts any more damage on this Democracy.
What is it going to be Repugs? Are you going to cower in the shadow of Trump and continue to circle the wagons to protect him - OR - are you going to do the right thing?
Let us know - because whatever your decision - it will weigh heavily on the 2018 mid-terms. Cause if you don't do the job as representatives of the People - WE THE PEOPLE - will put you out of your jobs and put the Dems in power in the House and Senate to muzzle Trump. If you don't do your job - the Dems will.

If The Situation Was Reversed And A Dem President.....
was in office and pulling all this crap that Trump has - from the primaries till today - what would the Repugs do? How would they handle this situation?
I can't believe they would just sit back and be impotent. They would be taking some sort of action. What do you think it would be?
President Obama was a great President and look what they did to him.
Our Founding Fathers Left A Lot Of Loopholes In The Constitution....
for unscrupulous individuals to exploit. Trump is exploiting all of them.
Congress needs to plug up these loopholes if we survive Trump.
Now that Trump has shown the way - others maybe even more sinister than Trump may attempt to do even worse.
In question are pardoning powers and the nuclear codes for a start.
There also has to be better vetting by the Parties before they let a person even participate in primaries. Mental & physical exams; release of tax records; divestiture of all business ties if the primary candidate that wins the nomination before they can participate in the general election.
The Repugs enabled Trump and they are to blame for all of this.
Things need to be changed for the future if we make it out of this.
So Is Trump Buying Some PowerBall Tickets Tonight?.....
It would be funny to see him waiting in line for tickets. He might need the money to pay his legal expenses.

I just turned on MSNBC and see he has a speech scheduled for 2PM est.
