Accurate Anagram

J.T.B., Brookline, MA, writes: Best fact I learned this week—an anagram of "Republican National Convention" is "Con Vulnerable Nation into Panic."

Too true.

Great, GREAT news!

The COVID-19 pandemic is over. The virus has been vanquished. We’re all safe!

This is how I know.

I am currently living in rural, East Texas. This was errand day for me. I stay home as much as possible, but today, I had to go out. Naturally, I wore my mask. The State of Texas is under an order from our Governor to do so when we’re in public spaces. Even if I weren’t under such an order, I would wear a mask anyway because that’s the socially-responsible thing to do under the threat of a deadly virus that is easily transmitted via aerosols emitted during ordinary breathing.

Evidently, I didn’t get the memo. I visited three, separate businesses. The first was a grocery—not a Walmart, but a slightly-smaller store. The second was a liquor store—sue me; if you don’t need a sedative right now, you’re not paying attention. The third was a gas station. At these three establishments, not a single customer (except me) was wearing a mask. Only at the small grocery were the employees wearing masks. Evidently, the folks at the other two businesses got the memo—the pandemic is OVER!

Why? Because through his words and actions, that’s what the President told these people, and a lot of them actually believe him. I know that’s hard for DU to fathom. Most of us are a bit above the average IQ of the average American citizen, but we need to remember that half of us are below the average IQ, and many of them actually believe what this compulsive liar tells them.

Honestly, I was shocked. I hadn’t been out for a week or so. Mask compliance was much better prior to the RNC. Now, it’s basically gone. Why? Because Trump said so.

So let us rejoice! The pandemic is a thing of the past. I admit that I was pretty sick of it.

Choose one restaurant.

Assume you just won the restaurant lottery. You get life-time free meals (no tip required) at just one restaurant (or chain restaurant) on Earth for you and one guest (if you like), and this will last for the rest of your life.

You don’t have to choose a chain restaurant, but, obviously, if you do, you have a lot more geographic diversity (range) and can still get free food.

Which restaurant do you choose and WHY?

Great! We have five, new American citizens tonight.

At the same time, there are THOUSANDS of children in cages, separated from their parents, that Trump is doing his best to insure NEVER become citizens and who he is willing to TORTURE just to send a message—“Don’t come here.”

And this is being done in our names.

Honestly, do you know ANY Democrat who wants to ABOLISH the suburbs?

I don’t, personally. What is this ridiculous crap that the Republicans are peddling? Do people actually believe this garbage?

"President Trump ended the policy of Black incarceration."

- Rep. Vernon Jones (GA House of Representatives)

I am pretty sure I heard that.

Black people are not going to be incarcerated any longer? Huh? What is this lunatic talking about?

I have only one prayer for Trump.

Psalm 109.

1
O God, whom I praise, do not remain silent,
2
for wicked and deceitful men have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.
3
With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.
4
In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer.
5
They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.
6
Appoint an evil man to oppose him; let an accuser stand at his right hand.
7
When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayers condemn him.
8
May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.
9
May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
10
May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.
11
May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
12
May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.
13
May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation.
14
May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
15
May their sins always remain before the LORD, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
16
For he never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the poor and the needy and the brokenhearted.
17
He loved to pronounce a curse-- may it come on him; he found no pleasure in blessing-- may it be far from him.
18
He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil.
19
May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him.
20
May this be the LORD's payment to my accusers, to those who speak evil of me.
21
But you, O Sovereign LORD, deal well with me for your name's sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.
22
For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23
I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.
24
My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt.
25
I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads.
26
Help me, O LORD my God; save me in accordance with your love.
27
Let them know that it is your hand, that you, O LORD, have done it.
28
They may curse, but you will bless; when they attack they will be put to shame, but your servant will rejoice.
29
My accusers will be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.
30
With my mouth I will greatly extol the LORD; in the great throng I will praise him.
31
For he stands at the right hand of the needy one, to save his life from those who condemn him.

So long as oil is traded in USD, we can print as many dollars as we like.

So long as the USD is the world’s reserve currency (and it is so because oil is traded ONLY in USD), every other nation on the planet will buy our USD as fast as we can print them.

If you are a tin-pot dictator of a small country, for example, and there is either a massive increase in demand for oil or a massive decrease in the supply of oil, what are you going to do? You’re going to buy it on the open market and provide it to your people. If you don’t, your country descends into chaos, after which you and your political party will be destroyed. Because you must have reserves of USD in order to avoid such a calamity, you buy USD when you can. Every nation on Earth (other than the USA) keeps reserves of USD in order to regulate unexpected fluctuations in the energy market.

This is the ultimate source of our global power.

Joe Biden CAN READ!

That’s all we need as a selling-point for our candidate.

Crimeny! Where am I? How did I end up here?
