I figured it out!

I’ve never read any biographies about George Orwell. But I have to wonder if he was really a time traveler and went back in time to warn everyone

This is truly Doublethink that we are seeing

County Mayor had to step up with Gov moRon and President Twitler have so far failed.

https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/orange-county-issues-stay-at-home-order-to-begin-thursday-evening

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings on Wednesday issued a stay-at-home order for residents to begin at 11 p.m. on Thursday night.

The order remains in effect until April 9. Essential errands will still be permitted, including things like grocery store runs or pharmacy pick-ups.

"We have a collaborative effort. We have consulted with both our medical professionals in this community as well as first responders and the business leaders," said Demings. "We believe the faster we can stop, we can return to some sense of normalcy."

The order applies to all municipalities, including the county's largest city of Orlando.

I'm heading into the office tomorrow morning to grab some equipment. Everyone on my team gets a one-hour window, one person at a time, to pick up things they'll need.

No word about the airport and normal passenger traffic. It's ludicrous to keep that open

They said the center's employees have been made aware of the positive case. Out of an abundance of caution, they will alert any associates who made close contact with the infected person at the building and ask them to not return to work for 14 days as they should self-quarantine. Those told to self-quarantine will reportedly be paid for their time at home.

Thought I read about one in KY, too, that temporarily shut down the one there

well F*** - Coronavirus Traces Lingered in Vacated Cruise Cabins for 17 Days

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-03-23/coronavirus-traces-lingered-in-vacated-cruise-cabins-for-17-days

Traces of new coronavirus were found on surfaces in cruise-ship cabins for as many as 17 days after passengers left, researchers said, though it wasn’t possible to determine whether they caused any infections.

Researchers looked at the rooms of infected passengers aboard the Diamond Princess, both those who showed symptoms and those who didn’t, according to a study Monday in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

...

A previous analysis found that the virus remained viable on plastic and stainless steel for up to three days, although levels fell dramatically over time. It was less stable on copper, where no viable virus was found after 4 hours, and cardboard, which was clean after 24 hours, according to the report in the New England Journal of Medicine.

The latest study looked at uncleaned rooms, but other research has found that cleaning the rooms of Covid-19 patients was highly effective at killing the virus.

If *I* was a WH reporter, I'd go full "Network" on his ass...job be damned

something like...

Why do you think you're so hated by the press? Why do you think the markets are going down and almost 2 dozen states have declared Shelter in Place? Why do you think the number of cases in the US are climbing exponentially??

It's because you're a FUCKING MORON! You're SO worried about your precious stock market numbers when those WON'T MATTER when TENS of MILLIONS of Americans are hospitalized and 5-10% of them DIE!

This isn't about YOU, you narcissistic piece of shit! This is about AMERICA!

WAKE UP OR RESIGN NOW!

China Reopens More Than 500 Cinemas as Coronavirus Threat Recedes

https://variety.com/2020/film/asia/cinemas-china-reopen-coronavirus-recedes-1203542000/
More than 500 cinema screens have reopened in China, where the coronavirus outbreak is seen to be receding, though box office takings remain minimal as the public is mostly staying away.

State media CGTN reported that 486 theaters were open for business on Friday. On Monday, financial publication Caixin said the number had risen to 507, representing less than 5% of all cinemas in commercial operation prior to the virus outbreak.

...

The data showed that nationwide revenue on Friday totalled less than $2,000. In Fujian and Guangdong, not a single ticket was sold.

On Monday, China reported no new local cases of the virus, but confirmed 39 infections brought in from overseas, and nine more deaths, all in Wuhan, where the virus had its epicenter. Wuhan has not registered any new cases of Covid-19 for five consecutive days.

Guess we'll find out for sure, one way or another, if they're a) telling the truth about new cases and b) this won't resurge

Gov moRon DeSantis (FL) Most Myopic M*F* Moron

https://twitter.com/fox35orlando/status/1242402198908215296
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says he does not want to issue a "shelter in place" order for the Sunshine State since about a third of the state's 67 counties have no confirmed cases.

People here are still looking for places to go. The airport is still receiving tons of passengers in spite of the *FIFTH* TSA agent to have tested positive now

I just can’t anymore.

I can’t.

I don’t understand the fear of doing the right thing.

I don’t understand greed over empathy and common sense
