I need some help with some Bach - the very small church choir is singing

"Jesu, Joy of Man's desiring" for Christmas in unison, in the soprano range. Does anyone know of a recording of this done an octave lower?
One alto and two basses will be forever in your debt. (with 3 sopranos, 1 alto, 1 falsetto tenor/true bass and 1 true bass, we don't do parts. ).

Sequins on a sweat shirt - only at Christmas? Never? only if I want to look my age (59+)?

Cats, puppies, butterflies etc on a sweat shirt, with or without sequins - Never?

It's not always your autoimmune disease acting up -

I thought the pain in my shoulder blade was from my Sjogren's, until last night when I discovered that when my husband snuggles up while we're asleep, he inadvertently pokes my back with his elbow.

TMI?

Animal teams: There are some small bird species that team up for the winter -

chickadees and nuthatches tend to hang out together. There are birds that ride on the backs of large mammals to gather insects, and fish which remove parasites from other sea life. But do any animals hang together like humans, cats and dogs?

When did pine cones start smelling like cinnamon?

Why did pine cones start smelling like cinnamon?

Do you think that "cinnamon" smell is apt to kill you if you breathe too much of it?

Just out of curiosity - if you know people who get upset at "Season's Greetings" instead

of "Merry Christmas"; how many of them are actually active members of a Christian congregation?

OK - resdy for some strangeness? I installed a Microsoft wireless mouse on my

HP notebook, and it worked fine. It did take some fine wiggling to get the USB receiver into the slot.Later, I shut down the computer in the middle of a print job.

The next time I went to boot up, the built-in keyboard wouldn't communicate with the computer. I had to dig out a portable keyboard to even log in because CNT-ALT-DEL wouldn't register.

The portable keyboard works fine.

The Keyboard tab under the Control Panel says the keyboard is ther and working fine. The keyboard illuminates if I press any key.

Any suggestions on recovering the keyboard?

If you are a descendant of an undocumented immigrants, post here.

Grandpa lied about his age at Ellis Island, Grandma snuck over the border at Niagara Falls.

They also harbored undocumented aliens into the 50's.....

Happy Thanksgiving.

Two aspects of immigration reform that get shoved under the carpet -

1. Wages: People are frightened that if all the undocumented people become citizens, they will go out, get jobs, and depress wages, especially at the low end. The fact is, undocumented people are already working, and precisely because they are undocumented, they are lowering wages. Given the protection of citizenship, they would be able to organize to demand better treatment.

2. Disenfranchisement: We hear a lot about Republican fears of Latinos supporting Democrats. What we don't hear about is this: the United States economy depends on the young workers arriving as immigrants. Our failure to recognize this and provide a means for authorized entrance to the US means that we have developed a large underclass denied the right to vote.
