The superlative cauliflower mushroom..

We found this beauty last sunday… a huge chunk of it is sitting in my freezer as we speak. I'm thinking, because of it's similarity in shape and texture to egg noodles, I might make a stroganoff with it.

Just put about 10 pounds of chanterelles in the new dehydrator... About halfway there...

Also, chopped up my portion of a monster Cauliflower Mushroom in the freezer... It's been a bumper season, for sure...

Hi, guys.. was just wondering.. I haven't seen it discussed before, but is it feasible to come up with a little list like on a sidebar or somewhere that shows what users are currently on? (I know, it's kind of old-school BBS, but it would be kind of nice to be able to know that if you send someone a PM, he or she is actually on and might reply quickly)

Man, what a season so far for mushrooms!

Ever since Labor day, my buddy and I have been out at least once a week, and we've been knocking 'em dead.. Lobsters, Chanterelles, Zeller's Boletes, King Boletes, Bleeding Milkcaps.. dehydrators are working overtime... this is my last haul from Saturday (and he had probably twice as much as me)

Ugh. Back to the grind tomorrow after a week off...

Somebody posted an inaccurate telling of an exchange in a group I usually hang out in, and I took the bait - against my better judgement - and contributed to a derailment. I'm sorry for coming in here and getting caught up in a shit-flinging party which had nothing to do with this group, nor it's purpose.
