I have no idea why I was listening to his radio show, but I do remember this rant. May be I was listening to something else making fun of it-- it became legendary in NYC.

Trump has done much worse. Much, much worse and leading Republicans are just egging him on. They're letting Liz Cheney show she has more balls than any of them.

She voted against Biden's big bill and might just vote to kill Medicaid, so she's certainly not a good girl, but that is legal and her right to do. She is dead set against Trumpian bullshit, though and is not her right, but her responsibility. The only one who gets it.

Sam Donaldson has said, simply and effectively, that we should go for the evidence and follow it. That is what democracy does. Not always well, but it tries.

The Donald has said evidence is fine, as long as it supports him and his bullshit. And bullshit is what it is, what it has always been. Every failure in his life he has bullshitted to turn it into a success. Letting the Plaza go bankrupt was first a play on how bankruptcy was a good thing, and when that didn't work, blaming the whole mess on Ivana.

But now he has stuck boxes of stuff in a basement in a beach resort. Boxes that include things no one could take away. Things so sensitive that government officials and congresscritters could read, but not take copies. Security clearances are often stamped on documents because underlings think it's better to stamp them then not, but lists of our hidden agents should be confidential. Lists of things that affect our dealings with North Korea should be "your eyes only". But Trump secrets them away because he thought it would be cool to have them.

He is the first serious crook to ever be in the White House and he should not be mollycoddled, kid gloved or anything but shown the door to an unending hell that even Nixon wouldn't see. And his supporters should also be trounced into the dirt they came from, not celebrated and rewarded.

to outlaw Nazism and any mention of the previous hell we had all been through. With proper German precision, they understood that the only way to stop it from rising again was to stamp it out. Stamp hard. It isn't working 100% and there are still hard liners out there, but they are suppressed and understood to be a sort of unfortunate human frailty and ignorance, similar to mosquitos and other ills.

The Japanese have also taken peace to heart and after trying to take over China, and then the world, They, like the Germans, have found much more productive outlets in Toyota and Sony. That's a much more constructive way to take over the world.

China seems to have learned a lesson, too, and finds commerce vastly superior to warfare when possible.

Here in the US, though, we're happily killing ourselves and talk of nothing but destruction. We allow out home-grown Nazis and other haters "free speech" while they slowly destroy our better nature.

We are the sum total of years of immigration, and taking the best ideas of our European and Asian immigrants to heart, making us in theory, the best of the best. It just doesn't seem that way, though.

We must immediately start cracking down on the wingnuts, primarily the wingnuts who preach arms, and hate. Crack down hard and make them understand we simply will not put up with their shit. One of our biggest mistakes was winning the Civil War but treating the losers as heroes. Honoring their sacrifice without denouncing their beliefs is no honor at all.

Choose decency, and stamp out the deniers with no quarter.

When you've got a while, just think of all the shit we wouldn't be putting up with if Hillary won.

Two years in Sing Sing thinking about your lack of future seems like a punishment in itself.

Makes the electric chair almost anticlimactic.

Here's my problem...

A few billion years ago the earth didn't have a decent mechanism to utilize carbon, so we had very little CO2 or hydrocarbons in the air.

We did have a lot of oxygen, though, and everythig was frozen.

Gradually, nitrogen fixing and oxygen using bacteria evolved, and we ultimately had a temperate world, with oxygen being about a fifth of the atmosphere.

Now that we're seeing the planet frying and all the CO2 from burning things, howcum the oxygen level remains the same? All that carbon we're buning has to combine with oxygen, so where is the replacement oxygen coming from to maintain that 21 or 22%?

If no one knows what was in the boxes, how can anyone claim...

It was on Hochul's desk this weekend, and she may have signed it by now. Informal Newsday poll has 82% in favor.

Pet stores, of course, are against it, but shelters are overflowing, and even PetSmart still has its "adopt me" aisles.

There's a puppy store I pass several times a week that has the occasional demonstration.
