Mayor Mike Duggan on Biden..

“He visited multiple times,” Duggan said of Biden. “He cares deeply about the city and auto industry and auto workers. Joe Biden has a whole career of watching out for the working class in this country.”

Michigan, and Detroit in particular, will be crucial to defeating Donald Trump and restoring the soul of our nation, and I look forward to meeting firsthand with voters over the coming months to make the case,” Biden said in a statement.

I’m going to do whatever he asks me to do,”said Duggan, who is in his second term and Detroit’s first white mayor since the 1970s.

Detroit is about 80% African American. Michigan gave Trump his closest winning margin of any state, with the Republican finishing 10,704 votes ahead of Clinton.

Now as it happens the one in 2020 is the most Important Life and Death one.. and as Joe Biden says..

The former vice president told the audience, “I hope you’ll vote for me,” but also highlighted that if he doesn’t win the nomination, “whoever our nominee is, I’m going to break my neck to make sure they get elected.”

Mahalo, ucr!

Oh yeah, and Biden is kind hearted and generous, too!

I don't care what Jim Hightower has

We have room for everyone who's serious about beating trump.

Progressives Support Shoring Up ACA Before Tackling Medicare For All

Despite a large division in the Democratic party over the best health care solution ― single-payer or a continuation and possible expansion of something like Obamacare ― progressives in Congress appear to be in lockstep with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s priority of shoring up the ACA before tackling anything like Medicare for All.

“I’m happy to support any provision that strengthens the ACA and plug some of the gaps that we’re seeing, particularly as it’s under assault by the president,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) told HuffPost on Wednesday. “I think it’s part of a longer-term vision, at least for me, towards guaranteeing ― truly guaranteeing ― health care for all Americans.”

SO? These Black Leaders make Cory's tweet

look smaller than it already was.

Delaware African American leaders defend Biden

Smith and Latham slammed Biden’s critics, saying they offer “mischaracterizations” of his record that are “misguided” and “wrong.”

"They seek to undermine Joe's campaign for president by incorrectly casting him as out of touch, culturally incompetent, and incapable of grasping the diversity and complexities of today. They also falsely distort the character and integrity of someone who has successfully dedicated his life’s work towards advancing civil rights and addressing systemic racism.”

For decades Joe has been at the forefront of advancing and safeguarding equal rights and combating institutional racism,” Smith and Latham wrote. “Now, as he campaigns for the presidency, he’s continuing to champion progressive policies in health care, education, criminal justice, climate change, and more, that all speak directly to the needs of black and brown people.”

Yeah, and Cory Booker isn't going to change that

with his little tweet.

Mahalo, "Richard “Mouse” Smith, the former president of the Delaware NAACP, and Sam Latham, the former president of the Delaware AFL-CIO and the first African American to hold the position.."!!
