Yeah, what you said, Doctor_J!

I hope to see some just desserts served in my lifetime too. I hope we don't have to just trust that the Hereafter will equalize things. I want to witness it with my own mortal eyes.

What's good about this is how many more of us are aware of these sneaky-ass tactics

And the strategic thinking/manipulating that's behind them. I think many of us are smarter now. More shrewd. Better able to recognize and SEE THROUGH these deceptive messaging strategies. It helped build up the mental and political immunity system, seems to me. The more of us who recognize these bald attempts to doctor the news and the messaging, the better.

Remember: they're COUNTING on their viewers being unsuspecting, naive, and gullible. And trusting. Remember, they're "America's Newsroom." AND they're "fair and balanced." They faithfully and relentlessly remind us about that, and drive that point home so that we're all properly preconditioned, softened up, and brainwashed. That way, we're much more receptive to the demon seeds they try to plant at every turn. What could possibly go wrong?

He's been a member of the Bad Guys Club for a long time.

Perverted Tim Ruusert and turned him into a wholly-owned subsidiary. And pushed the network newsroom folks on Election night 2000. Made it subtly but abundantly clear who he wanted (and expected) to be declared the winner.

He's a signatory of the PNAC.

They're the midwives and wet (dream) nurses of the Iraq War. They envisioned this nightmare scenario of America's "destiny" of perpetual world dominance and our "divine right" to remake the Middle East to ensure the "sanctity" of our polluting, marauding, imperialist, culture/vampire capitolist way of life.

That alone is enough for me never to vote for him even if he's the last candidate on earth.

Probably not for too long, though.

One would hope. I would not be surprised if, once he croaks, there'd be vandalism. Wouldn't surprise me if people started leaving things like black hoods, buckets of water, dog leashes, and enema kits. And maybe a printed text from the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal. That would be a fitting "tribute."

Where's the line for that one?!? Actually both.

I'd gladly wait in either line. I'd pay the fee and probably add a tip. And don't forget to eat asparagus beforehand- so your pee is nice and "fragrant"!

Neither do I. He's a national treasure.

I was so sad when Carl Sagan died. Who would we have, then, to carry that banner? To extol the virtues and wonders of science? To endorse its vital importance in our world - and our understanding of that world? To keep the darkness of ignorance and superstition away from our door? I was so bummed by that. He made science and discovery and intellect fun, popular, cool, even a bit sexy. And then he was gone.

I wonder how he would have responded to the dumbfuck contingent and science deniers and climate change deniers and other bozos and assorted dim bulbs who now afflict our society (and even more horrifying, manage to get elevated into positions of power and influence)?

I would have loved to see him take on dingdongs like james inhofe and other assorted idiots who now plague this country. And he's gone.

Thank God we have bright lights like Dr. Tyson! He's a true and worthy son of Carl Sagan. We NEED people like him, especially in the "media darling" arena. And I am grateful he's here.

Too bad it has to come to that but maybe it has to.

Because it doesn't seem like there are any other penalties. It doesn't seem like there's any other recourse. What else can a family do to get some sort of justice and closure - when the "justice" system never seems to deliver any?

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
