About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

And don't forget the pathetic way he finally acknowledged it.

Hey everybody! It's incredible! Did you know that Puerto Rico is an island! Surrounded by all this wet stuff, all around it! It's-incredible-it's-great-and-incredible-it's-tremendous-it's-great-and-incredible-and-it's-just-incredible! There's an ocean there! And we're doing a tremendous/great/incredible job! Believe me! This I can tell you!

Hillary was urging the deployment of the USS Comfort - about a week ago.

This morning we hear that the aforementioned hospital ship is "getting ready to leave for Puerto Rico." Today. They're "getting ready to leave." Isn't that special.

Infuriating is hearing reports - DAYS AGO - about how the military can parachute in some forgotten backroads empty nothing area and have it fully powered and equipped with electricity and internet and all kinds of supplies WITHIN A DAY. THIS would be a worthy effort by our military. I'd be overjoyed if my taxes were going toward that. War-making and destruction not so much. But THIS? It's worth EVERY DAMN DIME the IRS expects me to cough up every year.

As for covering the salaries of the likes of trump, Jodyanne Jerk-me-off and her "alternative facts," Michael Cohen and Stephen Miller and their schmucky little germs infesting OUR White House, Lying Sarah Liar Huckabee Liar Sanders Liar, Tom Livin'-the-High-Life-on-the-Taxpayers'-Dime Price, Steve Mnuchin and his greedy blonde arrogant money-grubbing designer-label fancy-ass trophy wife, Wilbur Bank-of-Cypress-Money-Laundry-Services Ross and the rest of the Gang from Hell, NOT SO MUCH.

She and Jimmy Kimmel - using the health crisis they each face, personally, to send a message.

Both in the same way - grateful they can afford good treatment while VERY mindful of all those who cannot. And saying so out loud.

Looks like the restaurant version of re-gifting.

This is what the guy across the room left on his plate when he was finished with dinner. Then the waiter brought that plate over and served it to you!

A truly poignant image.

It clearly illustrates who's the classy one here.

What a wonderful photo!

LOVE that little white pantsuit! I'm saving this photo.

The fact that Hillary is still out there, speaking out, challenging the status quo (this particular version of it), and showing such elegance, poise, and courage. We need that. We need to see it and hear it. We need to continue to see and hear HER.

I'm still with her.

Still love you, bravenak! Wherever you are!

How cool that she's giving Susan Sarandon hell. Give her some for ME too, bravenak!

There's also a very strong possibility that they yearn for him to wipe "that" out of the history

books. The fact that, for eight years, there was a black guy in the Oval Office and he wasn't the janitor.

Yet, meantime, this vulgar deceitful orange oaf saying all kinds of vulgar deceitful shit, in public, gets only tsk-tsk'd about it and suffers no serious consequences for it - and in effect, MAKING IT OKAY. Now you CAN say any old offensive nasty sexist racist misogynist thing you feel like saying (that you feel deep down in your heart-of-hearts but never had the nerve to spew out loud in public) and it's okay. He's normalized this shit. So people who feel, and share, that same nasty, selfish, thoughtless, mean-spirited, hateful, and downright un-American but never had the nerve to say so - now have all the encouragement in the world to do so. "Well, the president says that, so why can't I say it?" How many times have YOU heard or read that quote by now? I've heard it and seen it in print quite a lot. It's been normalized, validated, and excused.

Welcome to DU, Sluggeaux!

This is a very nice trend developing now. Let's hope it continues!

LOVE this!
