Oh brother...

September 30, 2014

Totally true. But there are WAY more of US than there are of those sickos.

And it might give OUR side more of an incentive to vote for the Dems if this hits them like a 2x4 across the teeth. Because if they don't, the GOP winners will ABSOLUTELY hit them like a 2x4 across the teeth - and with shit, piss, pus, vomit, and lots of Ebola virus on it.

Now THERE'S an idea!

I'd love to see John Fugelsang get his own show.

Now, if they REALLY wanted to get some attention for "Meet the Press," THAT kind of outta-left-field (so to speak!!!!) move would attract all kinds of attention, press, commentary, chatter on the internets, and more. It'd make all kinds of noise! And that would get viewers - those in favor, those shocked and/or horrified, and the merely curious. And because he injects humor, it'd go farther. If I were programming MSNBC, that's the kind of thing I'd do. Only my first instincts tell me Rachel should handle "Meet the Press," and forgo her Friday evening show. Just M-Th for her, and then Sunday. I'd continue to give Lawrence O'Donnell Friday night off as well. I'd put John Fugelsang in for that two-hour block every Friday night, and tell him to just let go! I'd want a total revue from him. Maybe an opening monologue or "'Weekend Update'-meets-'Daily Show'and-'Colbert'" type thing, LOTS of comedy and satire, some cool rocker guests (I know of one band in particular... ), panel segment, some talking heads here and there, newsmaker A, B, & C of the week. And just let him go wild! Two hours of prime time programming to do whatever-the-fuck he wants. Cuz we know what he can do. I'd just like to see him let loose and push the envelope so far outta shape that it doesn't even look like an envelope anymore. Give him total control and let's see him fly with it! It'd be CAN'T MISS TV, for sure. Remember, Stephen Colbert is going to CBS. We're told his "Colbert Report"-type routine won't be going with him. So THAT's a need to be filled then, too.

I hope so! She is a valuable resource!

Brilliant, accomplished, exemplary character, fabulous resume, AND she happens to be physically gorgeous too!

And THAT is the meme that should start spreading.

We should start spreading THAT VERY SENTENCE, MohRokTah.

"So basically, the GOP is trying to get the First Family killed."

Needs to be SAID, READ, AND SPREAD!!!!!!!!!

Who's with me?

That lip-licking thing reminds me of George Costanza on "Seinfeld."

He always did that when he found himself in a position of weakness, on defense, having to ask for something, having to broach an uncomfortable subject or try to explain something away. Invariably! When he found himself in or near "Shit Creek." Licked his lips like that, first. And then proceeded directly toward or into "Shit Creek" as reliably and predictably as ever.

And here's another excellent point!

Oh yeah? He wants to be able to spend as much time as possible with his family? Then what the hell are you doing in a job like this, IN THE FIRST PLACE, paul dear? This is a carnivorous job you have. You HAVE TO BE away from your family for the sake of your constituents' business when you feign to "represent" them at higher levels of power and influence. Why are you in that job if you want to spend so much time with your family? Running for president - by itself - would demand that you spend a LOT more time AWAY from your family. Just the "running for" part. If, Heaven forbid, you actually won, I think you'd find the world won't stop on the weekends so you can spend that time playing with your family. The crises won't stop. They won't end at 5pm every Fridays, and wait til 9 or 10am on Mondays to start, or resume.

September 30, 2014

But I'd be willing to bet he didn't even notice.

His agenda and his future career goals remain intact - AND unchanged, I guarantee you.

September 30, 2014

The ONLY answer is to VOTE. VOTE AGAINST whoever and whatever he's for.

Those who stay home, those who merely put him on ignore, those who don't fight back, those who don't outshout him, only make his voice louder and stronger and more powerful.

September 30, 2014

That was my thought, too. SINCE WHEN has darrell issa cared about the President's welfare?

Since WHEN have ANY of those republi-CONS cared two-cents' worth about this President or his safety and security, or that of his family? SINCE WHEN???? Their feigned outrage over this strikes me as completely phony - and worth not even two cents.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
