So did I. And whether she's still hurt or not, I definitely still am!

It hurts every day. Especially when I remember how many more votes she got than he got.

April 29, 2019

Unfortunately true.

April 29, 2019

Something - like IMPEACHMENT. Accept no substitutes.

The foolhardy notion that “we just need to vote him out in 2020” is a proven loser, because the Russians HAVE NOT STOPPED. Nor have their efforts been disabled. And we still have absolutely no leadership from the top. The top is in total denial.

They’ve done nothing to curtail this BECAUSE THEY WANT THAT HELP AGAIN.

trump knows full well how desperately he needs to win. Another four-year term will get him safely past all the statutes of limitations. That’s why Congress has to stop him NOW.

While they still can.

Good point. But the main point remains. If we naively trustthat the voters

will fix this in 2020, we’re FOOLS. Because the Russians didn’t just stop and decide to be nice. They’re still at it. They gained a foothold. Now they’re poised to fuck with more of our election systems. Does anyone think they’re just gonna stop?

Meanwhile, we’ve done little if anything at all to defeat their capabilities or strengthen our safeguards. THIS is where we need to build the wall.

Maybe it IS as simple as "Graham on his knees."

Taking as well as giving, perhaps?

Yep. Movies ARE quicker.

Well? She ABSOLUTELY DID warn us.

Perhaps there are some who consider her a bitch because she did. But I consider her right on the money - again.

I have a friend like that. Caught her muttering “bitch!” in my kitchen when the subject of Hillary Clinton came up. She was staying with us for a few days. And I wouldn’t stand for it, even for this friend. I told her immediately and flat out - “NO ONE calls Hillary Clinton a bitch in MY house!”

A most interesting reaction followed. She literally jumped, looking at me wide-eyed and mouth-agape almost as though I’d just set a bomb off under her chair. I guess I had. She’d moved from true-blue California to a red state, where I suppose she felt as though she could more freely and comfortably express red-state views. Her reaction told me this was something she was definitely NOT used to getting when she badmouthed Hillary Clinton.

I wasn’t all that surprised, though. While she still lived in California, I’d been to her home several times, for different occasions including parties. There was one in particular, in which I felt like I was surely the only Democrat in the building! I found myself surrounded by Clinton-haters. Everywhere. In the balcony. Inside in the kitchen. And the living room. And the guest bedroom where I somehow wound up with a bunch of chain-smoking Hillary-haters spouting all kinds of manufactured resentments and imaginary crimes and scandals and other hate-radio crap long-since debunked. About 30 seconds of that and I’d had ENOUGH! Grabbed my car keys, located my friend to say goodbye - and left!

Birdies!!!!!!

I’d say you got a little bit o’ blessing there! Enjoy the rollout! You’ll soon be a step-mom to new hatchlings that will start with a feeble chirp and then grow strong - and much louder!

And if you’re lucky enough to be there watching when they’re old enough to leave the nest, you’ll feel some genuinely bittersweet feelings. Proud of them for finding their own wings, venturing out on their own. Amazed at this story you were able to witness, personally. A deeper sense of connection - to life, to Nature, to continuity. And yes, sadness, too. That your little “feather babies” have grown up and moved away.

But even then, the story may not be over. Not sure about the breed of bird here, but some breeds return to the nest to lay eggs of their own. That happened to us for four straight years - with little Black Phoebes. We had five sets of hatchlings in four years! I don’t know how long they live but either they returned to the same nest, or their offspring did.

Nothing sweet about him.

SOB should still be in jail for Iran/Contra.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
