I got mistaken for Patty Hearst once.

During the time when she was on the lam with the SLA after they’d robbed that bank. She recorded a statement saying she’d decided to stay with them after they’d kidnapped her, and she was taking the name Tania.

So I was coming out of the library one day and some guy sitting on a ledge by the entrance turned to me and said “helllloooo, Taaaniaaaaaa!” in a sly voice. I damn near freaked! She was wanted by the police! And they were looking for her all over everywhere! I was afraid I was about to be arrested!

The guy saw my reaction and said “oh, sorry. I thought you were someone else.” Couldn’t get outta there fast enough!
