Yep. Yet another reason to sneer at Paul Ryan.

He thinks things aren’t going his way? That maybe his team will lose the majority? He up ‘n’ quits. Takes the ball and runs home.

Nancy Pelosi, on the other hand, stuck around. When she had to relinquish the Speakership, she stayed, and kept fighting. Showing resilience, strength, grace, and class.

Paul Ryan decided to be a quitter. He’s nothing but a tall gangly chicken with no usable meat and a widow’s peak. There’s your “fearless leader,” Congressional CONS. Cute, ‘eh? Run away, Paul! Run away! Denny Hastert before him did the same thing. Threw in the towel and ran away rather than face having to hand the gavel over.

It’s clear who really wears the pants here. In this case, a pantsuit! The irony is rather delicious.

FUCK JILL STEIN!!! Haven't you done enough damage by now, Jill?

When’s the next banquet with Vladimir, ‘eh? Mike Flynn probably won’t make it so I’m sure they’d be even more eager to have you there than they were, the last time.

Suggestion: find your local Indivisible group.

They’re ON IT. It’s grassroots activism at its best! You actually get a few things done, and your voice is amplified via a group of other like-minded people who actually focus on what can be DONE, realistically and practically.

It’ll make you feel like you’re actually DOING SOMETHING. And having an actual impact.

Our leader and the chairwoman of another local Indivisible group were on local radio, being interviewed about Indivisible. Our chairwoman prepped for the show by compiling a list of bills and proposals in which we’d actually pushed our DINO Congressman over toward the action WE wanted, as opposed to what he’d originally been leaning toward. I was pleasantly surprised at how long that list was!

DO it! It’ll help you feel like you’re actually making a difference. You’ll make some new friends, too!

Beat me to it.

I was going to add the words “...behind bars.” To the last sentence.

The more I think about the points you're making here, Nance,

I start wondering if the REAL reason he may so ardently want a trump Tower Moscow is because he wants a luxury hideout in case he gets in legal trouble in the U.S. He probably assumes his good ol’ patron, Vladimir, will shelter him over there if things sour for him here.

I still strongly suspect that when the shit really starts hitting the fan, he’ll try to bug out under cover of darkness, some night maybe in the coming year. If I were running a newsroom in either Washington DC or near Mar-a-Lago, I think I’d be tempted to make plans for a stakeout. Keep an eye open for unscheduled helicopter landings and takeoffs to and from the grounds.

From Mar-a-Lago one could presumably fly to Guantanamo or maybe some Caribbean island, from which one could then fly to South America or Eastern Europe or even Moscow. I suspect there could soon be secret negotiations either involving Jared or Junior (and “Gums”) or Ivanka, or even the donald himself, with one of his new dictator pals, for a safe haven. Turkey? The Philippines? Ecuador (hey, that angle has worked pretty sweetly for Julian Assange), Russia? Slovenia where his latest wife is from? I suspect he’d hit up alternatives to Moscow to hedge his bets in case Putin turns nasty on him.

I can’t help it. My mind always starts wandering over toward a scenario like this.

Whoa! What an OUTSTANDING find!

A KEEPER for sure!!!

I’m on the team that writes the weekly Call to Action email for our Indivisible group. I’m gonna use this!

Awhile ago, the woman who chairs our group designated Friday as “gun violence day” every week. So we always look for a gun violence angle to write up as an ask for that day. The Violence Against Women Act often gets attention. We meet every Saturday to put it together for the upcoming week.

Guess what goes in there THIS weekend!

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
