Welcome to DU, tmaynardr! Your local Indivisibles can help.

We have a Postcard Party three Sundays per month (two of our own and one at a nearby senior center that’s focused on the climate crisis). Our team leader gets lists of addresses of Democratic voters in other states so we can write postcards to various districts to urge them in general to vote, or to support a particular local candidate. We up here in Oregon wrote to Orange County voters in SoCal to support Harley Rouda in 2018, for example, and it helped him flip that district from red to blue. We also wrote to Florida voters earlier this month to remind them that they can now vote from home, and how they can sign up for the program set up to expedite that.

I think our team leader gets her lists from the Democratic Party, but I can find out more specifics if you like! Our next Postcard Party is this coming Sunday (two days from now).

That's MY President.

It’s painful as hell to think of how America got cheated, and robbed, in 2016.

Or Triumph of the Ill."

People who so blindly follow him are sick in the head.

Well, there's only one remedy for that.

We have to get EVERYBODY out to vote.

And I do mean EVERYBODY.

NO excuses.

NO “I was too busy.”

NO “I forgot.”

NO “I couldn’t get out.”

NO “I didn’t know where to my voting place was.”

NO “I didn’t have time.”

NO “It won’t make any difference.”

NO “what’s the point? We’re screwed anyway.”

NO “He/She just doesn’t excite me.”

NO “I didn’t get the candidate I wanted, so fuck it.”

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.

You HAVE TO vote. There is NO choice, NO option. NO alternative. And NO excuse. NONE.

And there is NOTHING that is more important next November. I don’t care what else may be going on that day. It’s not as important as getting the fuck OFF one’s ass and finding some way to get to the polls and vote.

Unless, of course, you’re somehow okay with what’s gone on since January 2017, or can otherwise rationalize letting your country down - as in down the fucking drain!

Because he's a petty little piss-ant, that's why.

He clearly feels that the best way to boost himself is to put everybody else down. He tries to knock them down so he’s perceived to be higher.

Piss-ant stuff. Vindictive and small. VERY small. And pathetic as hell.

That’s the only way you see clear to enhance your stature, piss-ant? What a disgrace.

I don’t care if a ham and cheese sandwich is what we nominate next year. We all need to vote for it. EVERYBODY who cares about America’s standing in the world, our heritage, what we supposedly still stand for, and whatever future leadership we can provide, needs to vote for it.

If there's really a Hell, I suspect ol' Kooch

will be busily trying to run for something down there, too, someday.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
