Well, seems to me what you have to do is make sure this asshole gets UN-elected next time

he runs again.

And then, it's not over! After that, you have to keep track of him. Watch where he goes, what he does, will he move to another state and start this shit all over again? After all, ranking anti-choicers have certainly done that. They make a success in one state, then they move, establish residency elsewhere (happened in Kansas as I recall), and start their mischief in their new state. These assholes have to be tracked. They have to be watched - to see where they go and what they do, and what they may try to run for next. Because the MAIN objective is - TO KEEP BASTARDS LIKE THIS OUT OF POWER!!!!!!

It's not enough to work until the election happens. Unfortunately, with what (and whom) we're up against, after the election is when the work REALLY begins.

We have candidates and operatives and partisans out there for whom Roe v Wade is somehow not settled law. They'll tell YOU it is. They'll tell the people covering the next Supreme Court Justice nominations. But it won't be true. And they don't care. They'll keep going after it until they've whittled it down to nothing - AS IS HAPPENING AT THIS VERY MOMENT, ACROSS THE COUNTRY, ACROSS THE BOARD. WHY ISN'T OUR SIDE DOING THAT????? WHY aren't we scheming, at every turn, at every possible near-opportunity or half-opportunity, or even the broadest-stretch-of-the-imagination sliver of an opportunity? On laws they like. Such as - the watered-down Wall Street "restrictions" and stuff that they push? Why can't we be sneaking amendments onto it or language into it that subverts it?

I'd REALLY like to see THEM caught flat-footed on something for a change, instead of it ALWAYS being us.

Welcome to DU, OhZone. ALWAYS. ALWAYS be wary of kkkarl rove and his ilk.

I keep saying it. I wish we had more devious thinkers on our side. That's how we can out-think and out-maneuver them, anticipate what they might do, and PREPARE.

ALWAYS remember what Mad-Eye Moody warned Harry Potter: "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!!!" We can NEVER afford to doze off. Look what happened when Obama did during the first debate. Not a single one of us can EVER afford to let down our guard. How come? Because the bad guys never do. And I'm sick and tired of seeing them being able to put yet ANOTHER one over on us, and how they keep catching us with our pants down.

We have to start thinking like a member of ALEC. And yes, we have to start thinking like kkkarl rove. Icky as Hell, I know. I know. But we have to if we want to stay one step ahead of them, instead of always playing furious catch-up at the last minute. We have to have multiple ways to head them off at every pass, AT ALL TIMES - before they even get out of bed in the morning.

My dad flew photo-recon in WW2. He once said, with great pride, that in all that time,

he never raised a gun against his fellow man. Kinda chokes me up even to write these words.

And I, too, am offended almost beyond imagining. WHO THE FUCK DOES SHE THINK SHE IS????? HER SONS "SERVED"????????

Well, her shitty-ass husband said so, too, about himself. "I served. In the private sector."

These people utterly disgust me. I actually am beginning to think these people are more vile than george w. bush and dick cheney.

My main hope for them is that they get their ultimate comeuppance sometime during my lifetime, so I can watch and thoroughly enjoy.

I knew he didn't support it. His very reluctance to say so, for one thing.

He's famous, by now, for blurting. So somewhere in the past decade we should have video or audio somewhere of his expressing sympathy or support or understanding of this concept - equal pay for equal work. A simple "yes." That he hems and haws and then deflects. "What about equal pay for equal work?" "Oh, look over here! I collected BINDERS full of women!" Didn't even answer the question.

Besides that, he's a BUSINESSMAN. That's the filter through which he sees everything. How a BUSINESSMAN would see things. Uppity, annoying women having the nerve to demand something. They think "they're ENTITLED..." as he told that quiet room of elites and high-rolelr donors, who all see the world the way he does. Of course they all feel that way. These demands are very low, if not non-existent on their priority list, because any accommodations like that cut into their profits. Typical of business and the corporate world - they only do something decent for these farther down the food chain when they HAVE TO. Or when they're forced to - usually by an equally large and powerful rival entity: the federal government. They don't automatically do the correct or ethical or moral thing because such things usually cost more money.

And a douchebag like him CERTAINLY doesn't want to have to waste any of his precious time considering equal pay issues WHEN HE'S MADE HIS MONEY CHISELING WORKERS, AND OUTSOURCING THEIR JOBS TO CHINESE WORKERS WHO GET MAYBE A DOLLAR A DAY. He doesn't want to bother with you, you demanding American women. What's wrong with you that you can't get a husband like him - so you can sit on your ass all day and go play horsey and chair PTA meetings and get your hair done and your mani-pedi and go to lunch with the other girls. Why are you complaining? It's your fault you aren't living like we do!

That's his attitude. No wonder he likes those Chinese women working for $1.00 per day. That beats the hell out of having to cut into his profit margin because he has to pay decent wages to those annoying, demanding American women - who think they're ENTITLED.

I find him utterly repulsive.

October 21, 2012

No kidding. I hope you were gentle with them. Frankly, I know how they feel!

I think this is grating on all of us! I know it's made me awfully testy lately.

I'm continually amazed by the short memory of the Average American Voter. Proof of that stands proudly at this very moment in myth wrongney's shoes. Let's take note of all the grumbling - not only here, but all over everywhere! It can be at the grocery store or self-serve gas station or after-school pick-up line forcryingoutloud! And then let's keep track. After all this is over, and we've seen how unbearable this level of campaign avalanche and overkill, mainly fueled by money, let's see how many people remember how annoyed they were. Let's see how many people have been rendered so sick-to-death of this noxious stuff that they resolve to make changes. To lobby their congressperson to overturn Citizens United. To take the money out of politics, one way or another. And let's see how many people just shrug it off and do nothing, and don't remember what all the fuss was about and what a big deal it got to be.

I've come to be rather cynical about my fellow Americans, most of whom I don't respect as far as their "grasp" of the issues. It really pains me to see how many people are taken in by the swill of limbaugh and pox noise and the rest of that wrong-wing media machinery. I'm amazed how many people swallow it unthinkingly (NO KIDDING. LITERALLY!!!) and internalize the dreck they're hearing. For example, I would think the mere whiff of anybody left over from the bush/cheney days would make voters run for the hills. I even heard a couple of minutes on it on MSNBC. contradicta of all people - palling around with lyin' ryan. She was a valued foreign policy advisor to the administration responsible for the worst, most damaging, most counter-productive, most reckless and deceit-based foreign policy in modern history. But for the most part, that one slides straight under the door.

I really am enraged by all this. "Uncertainty????!??!!?!??!!?!?!?!?" WTF?????

Those whining Wall Street weasels have enough money to buy their way out of ANY "uncertainty!"

Let them try living in an eight-year-old Chevy sedan for a week. THEN let's hear them talk about their fucking damn rat's-ass "UNCERTAINTY"!

You know something? Fuck it! "Uncertainty" is a way of life! We ALL live with "uncertainty" from the moment we're pulled out of our mama's nether regions! The mere act of living on Planet Earth includes built-in uncertainty day in and day out! Hell, you can't even be certain you're gonna frickin' wake up tomorrow morning! People have been known to die in their sleep with no warning, after all. You can't even be certain you're gonna be able to walk across the street during lunch hour downtown. You can't be certain some drunk driver isn't gonna suddenly come out of nowhere and hit you head-on.

"Uncertainty" is just part of day-to-day living. To them, it's a total cop-out.

October 20, 2012

MAJOR difference. myth wrongney is nothing but a HOARDER.

It strikes me that anyone with his kind of money, anyone with Wall Street's kind of money, has NO BUSINESS whining about "uncertainty." When you have that kind of money in your back pocket, or stashed away somewhere that only you can reach, YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY UNCERTAINTY IN YOUR LIFE!!!!! PERIOD!!!!! NOT THE SLIGHTEST FUCKING BIT!!!!!!!

I'm sick and tired of hearing the fat cats and high rollers whining and sniveling about how they can't possibly do anything about investing in the economy or creating jobs because of "UNCERTAINTY!!!!!"

I'm even SICKER and MORE tired of hearing this new trend of fat-cat mega-rich CEOs sniveling and whining in emails to their employees that they're not sure what's gonna happen to THEIR business if YOU don't vote the way THEY want you to - or else.

Do you know what "uncertainty" is?

"Uncertainty" is when you're not sure you'll have enough money to buy food and your meds, and still have money left over to cover the house payment.

"Uncertainty" is when you're not sure if you'll be able to send your gifted child to college - when you still have to pay out of pocket to care for an elderly relative.

"Uncertainty" is when more and more people in your office are getting pink slips in your paycheck, and you're not sure if you'll be next - and no one's talking to you from upstairs, much less telling you the truth.

"Uncertainty" is when the phone keeps ringing. And you're afraid to pick it up because it's probably another bill collector for whom you have no satisfactory response. And you don't know what they're gonna do to you - or what they CAN do, or how ruthless they'll be.

"Uncertainty" is when you're not sure how long it'll be before you are realistically living in your car.

THAT is fucking damn-ass UNCERTAINTY!!!! When you have more money than God, you DO NOT have ANY "uncertainty" in your life, and there is NO trouble, NO wolf-at-the-door, NO threats, and NO dangers - from which your money can't buy you a way out.

None of them seems to remember that The Christ - that very same Savior they claim to worship - drove their kind OUT of the Temple in one of the very few times the Gospels say He actually got royally pissed off and threw a temper fit. None of them remembers how they're nothing but camels facing the Pearly Gates - that are the size of the eye of a needle. And I'm sure they think they're far more Christian than the rest of us, too.

Twit, Twat, and Twig. Or Truss. Or Tit. Or Twerp. Or...

What is it with these names?

If they ever had twins, would they have been named Tic, Tac, and Toe?

Welcome to DU, martin061260!

Glad you're here - and you're spot-on in your assessment of that smarmy little hypocritical d'ouchebag (SHAMELESSLY stolen from downthread, post 11, by DUer kysrsoze). NOTHING truly Christian about him. We need you to help us keep assholes like this - THOROUGHLY reined in - so the way is clear for President Obama to win reelection.

Now get to work.

All of those boys have their father's heavy and sinister brow.

Overly prominent structurally, and in many cases among the wrongney men, edged with dark and/or heavy eyebrows. The eyebrows only emphasize the prominent and imposing brow. Looks mean and ominous and threatening. Menacing. Cold. And yes, creepy. All those wrongney men creep me out.

I don't find it at all pleasant to look at - sure hope I don't have to do so for the next four years.

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years.
