Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg are endorsing Joe Biden the day before Super TuesdayBoth of those candidates have built constituencies that also love Elizabeth Warren
Their decision to endorse could throw a lot of support Warren was angling for in the direction of Biden.

Amy Klobuchar has ended her campaign, making her the third candidate in as many days to exit the 2020 Democratic primary after billionaire Tom Steyer and former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg dropped following their disappointing results in the South Carolina primary.
Buttigieg and Steyer ended their campaigns ahead of Super Tuesday, the enormously consequential primary when approximately 35% of the entire national primary's delegates are awarded over the course of a single day. But they at first neglected to endorse, effectively allowing their backers to navigate the remainder of the primary without guidance from their preferred candidate. Klobuchar, however, decided to endorse former Vice President Joe Biden immediately after dropping out, and shortly after that announcement it was reported that Buttigieg too would be endorsing Biden.
For the past several months, Insider has been conducting a recurring SurveyMonkey Audience poll to track the state of the 2020 Democratic primary field. You can download every poll here, down to the individual respondent data. (Read more about how the Insider Democratic primary tracker works here).
We've been asking respondents to select from the list of contenders who they would be satisfied with as nominee, allowing them to select as many as possible. This lets us figure out what the overlapping coalitions of the Democratic electorate look like, to see who's competing for the same delegates.

(43,261 posts)She definitely draws far more votes away from Bernie than she does from Biden.
I am only saying that she has no path, has not had one for months. She may not win a single state if she does not win in Massachusetts.
I also think that Biden will, quite possibly now hit the 15% level there (MA) and thus get delegates, which is bad news for Bernie. I think Biden will now have that happen in multiple states, including the big one, my state of voting registration, CA.
I want newer polls from MA to get a better handle on it, but do not think there will be many more, if any at all.

(58,785 posts)she won't be the nominee, and her decision is all about what point SHE will do the same thing as the others. Throw her support to Biden.
Btw, I keep reminding, but for those who incredibly mistakenly imagine Warren is some female version of Sanders anti-Democratic class-warfare radical, she's NOT. Back in 2015, if Biden was going to run he wanted Elizabeth Warren for his running mate to work with him do great things. She met with him, and left the door to that open should he run.
Well, Biden is running now. Is the door still open for both of them? We don't know.
What we do know is that Warren is an honorable and principled Democrat who will do her best to make sure the anti-Democratic Party, Russia-supported candidate Putin and the Republicans are pinning their hopes on doesn't become our nominee.
Strategy.

I just voted for her. She is hands down the best candidate remaining, although all would be better than the current occupant.
She took on Mayor Buttigieg rather handily. Knew that wasn't going anywhere. She also knocked Senator Klobuchar for her lack of a real healthcare plan. I do think the two senators are friendly.
This news did not surprise me.
Senator Warren has also confronted every corruption out there. It is unsurprising that she "got erased" as you put it. Yet, she persists and her plans persist with her.
We need to vote for her if only to make certain that portfolio of corruption destruction survives to persist (& become law!) after Election Day.
And only 4 states have voted. It isn't over yet.

(15,568 posts)She will get a decent chunk of delegates tomorrow, and if it is enough to put either or both Biden and Bernie over the majority threshold, that will give her a lot of leverage regarding the VP pick.

(43,261 posts)If Bernie rollis in with say 1600 delegates, he still will need 775 or so to win. At most he will get 150 to 200 via the the SD's.
that leaves him around 600 short.
Warren will have nowhere near that in delegates. She will probably end up with around 250 to 300 or so. Plus nowhere near all of hers will go to Bernie unless she endorses him (and even then many still will not), which is political suicide, as the maths simply do not work for Sanders, unless he somehow, nightmarishly ends up with 1991 before the convention, which is never going to happen.
