We are going with the Indian Senator who respects the sovereignty of native people.

The Pechanga Band are in my neck of the woods, so I'm particularly happy to see this.

Waiting for others to endorse Warren, as well, after her fantastic speech yesterday.

1. I thought her ancestry is Asian Indian, not American Indian.

However, I'm glad that she is supporting the native people.

2. You are correct about her ancestry. And correct about the endorsement.

3. The information I have is that the Lakota Sioux (a native US tribe) are a DNA match

for a group of people in Central Asia. Figure it out, we didn't all just sprout out of the ground!
A lot of people are pleasantly surprised when they get a DNA evaluation while other people are unpleasantly surprised since the results may challenge preconceptions! Elizabeth Warren had a preconception, a family legend and she was trying to get at tRUMP. She's doing pretty good at the getting!

After all, the earliest identifiable bi-pedal ancestors of our human race are 6 million years old. Just imagine how the ethnic/cultural groups have intermingled since. To borrow a term from Isaac
Asimov when discussing "race" he said that all people identified as human are INTERFERTILE,
which means that any healthy male and female, regardless of appearance, can make babies to
carry on. There's only one "race" and that's the Human Race.

We are them and they are us and we are all together. Get over it.

I'm trying to stay away from distractions and keeping it positive for my candidates. You've spoken about ancestry in a way that I couldn't without being triggered

By the way, I Love Asimov. But that's another discussion

5. Thanks. Well, history in general and human ancestry in particular

are favorite topics of mine and while I don't like to preach I do try to give a little nudge to let people know there are realities out there that might be good to become acquainted with.

Asimov, Heinlein and Cherryh are all favorite authors of mine and have contributed a great deal to my world view. We can discuss that anytime!

Just one search and there are a good number of entries of: "Where to Start?" I'm looking forward to digging into her books. From Wiki, "She uses the theme of the outsider finding his (or her) place in society and how individuals interact with The Other."

Thanks again, abqtommy

8. You're welcome. She writes a tight, thorough narrative in the vein of James Michener.

She creates extraterrestrial peoples and languages...very impressive! I stick to her sci-fi
but I'm sure her fantasy is good too.
