LeBron James.

Anyone that claim that he does not make a team better need to shut up. He is making the Lakers respectable, and right now in a playoff spot. If he does not get injured, my money is on the team making the playoffs. He is making marginal and young players better and the team is improving week by week.

You made a good case, maybe I overstated. But LeBron is an all around better person than Kobe. nt Blue_true Dec 2018 #6

But there was a time when i didn't (when he played for the heat and they beat my beloved spurs in the finals). He is a bad ass off the court as well.

. . .and that goes back to the mid-60s on CBS, i have gladly moved him into the #2 spot of the best player i've seen play.

For many years, that spot was Magic's. Not anymore.

LeBron only had that in Miami for a couple of years, until the center developed the heart condition.

LeBron was in Miami 4 years, so 25% of his career with another Hall of Fame player, plus Bosh and Ray Allen (Also probably HoF)
Bosh played 79 of 82 games in James' final Heat season so his blood clot issues came after he went back to Cleveland
Irving was a top 5 guard when with James in Cleveland and Kevin Love was a multiple time AllStar
When Kobe won those other 2 titles, the next best player on the team was Gasol
While I very much like LeBron, I think you're overstating that case.
