Thank you, the affection is very much mutual. I really do think of our two countries as two, sometimes disparate -most times not, branches of a big family.

I thoroughly enjoy reading all your posts. My husband will be going to Canada again on business in a few weeks, I think around the 18th. I'm hoping to travel with him, after my daughter gets out of school next year. I hear it is beautiful.

Thank you! I may have a bit of bias (just a wee bit, lol) but I think Canada IS beautiful, every region is unique in it's own way as are the regions in the U.S., certainly those I have been fortunate enough to visit.

If you and your family are heading west (Alberta here) let me know and I would certainly give you any info I can and maybe some tips on what might be of interest to you!

I read your posts as well and very much enjoy them. I learn so much from so many here and I love that.

I have no idea how far Montreal is from Alberta, but that is where he goes on business. I have never been to Canada, but would dearly love to go. I've seen pictures, but I'm sure they do not do it justice.

I learn so much from people here too, DU is awesome!

It is quite far from where I am and very different in both it's unique culture and what it has to offer. If you and your family are able, be sure to visit Quebec City as well, it has great historical sites and is, in it's way, very different from Montreal. Each offers much to see and absorb. The Laurentians, as well, is well worth the visit. Here's some info on the area:
