Tomorrow Another Blue Dog Dies

Massachusetts voters go to the polls tomorrow to select the nominees to replace John Kerry in the U.S. Senate. When Rep. Stephen Lynch voted against ObamaCare, he was presumably thinking that some big-money boys would reward him with a promotion either to the Senate or to serve as governor. That's because Rep. Lynch is a moron. Rep. Ed Markey is going to hand Lynch's anti-choice head to him.
But Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey are not Kenyan socialist Mooslims or anything, so don't get your hopes up.

1. I've been gone too long. I didn't know Lynch was antichoice

Well, that alone would do it for me. I won't cross that line like I wouldn't have crossed the abolitionist line in 1860.

I've always known Markey as a pretty good guy.

Way too many things to hold against Lynch, starting by his prolife stand, his vote for Obamacare, and his support of Keystone XL. Time to move on to the general election and let's hope Sullivan is the one who wins the other primary.

due to an undescribed illness. Under those circumstances, I'm not sure talking about his death tomorrow is real cool. Of course, it could be a serious hangover or, for that matter, reality sinking in, "tomorrow I lose BIG, why the hell should I campaign?" But, I get the meaning of the article. Unfortunately, if he loses tomorrow, he'll still be in the House. Grrrrrrrrr

Lynch Cancels Events Day Before Election Due To Illness

PEMA LEVY 10:41 AM EDT, MONDAY APRIL 29, 2013

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) canceled most of his campaign events Monday due to illness one day before his primary against Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA), whom he is challenging for the Democratic nomination to fill John Kerry's Senate seat, the Boston Globe reported Monday.

Now, due to what his campaign said was an illness, most of Lynch’s campaign plans for the day have been erased. A campaign spokesman said Lynch woke up feeling sick, but declined to elaborate…

Still on the docket for Lynch is the traditional Election Eve rally at the Iron Worker’s Hall in South Boston.

Markey is a grandstander - not my favorite dem.

The real race starts tomorrow night. Sullivan is very right wing, if Gomez wins, it will be a tighter race. Winslow won't win.
