Keith Ellison..... Horrible Job!

Man, Could you have been more timid.
A fucking xenophobe congressman on live televisions states that The Muslim Community
should be targeted by American Intelligence and instead of being personally insulted and immediately lashing back ( Pointing out the havoc reeked by right wing terrorism), he simply went about his business of being a Democrat....And struck back with such caution..
Makes me sick!!~

but I stumbled on this one. Saw Keith Ellison talking and so I stopped channel-surfing. Didn't see the entire segment. He started out strong but then it did seem like he sat back while the snarly reactionaries spewed their hate and fear. Not sure if he ever shot back. I changed the channel soon because I can tolerate only so much crazy at one time. Love Ellison, and I'm very sorry to hear he didn't hold his own in the end.

I doubt that is the point he wanted to make.

It would NOT have been good for him LASH out. He would have looked like an angry Muslim and then the right-wing would have used it against him.

He was calm, cool, and spoke intelligently.

I'm gonna figure the guy who is a Muslim has the better handle on how to address the situation.

He is absolutely correct on every point and King is a first class idiot.
I just wish he brought up the point of right wing terrorism and pushed his face in it..

as being the individual acts reflecting free choice.
He is also correct that investigations must begin with actionable evidence.
He needs say no more.
As far as I'm concerned, no more surveillance is necessary, the civil liberties of Muslims need not be abridged any further.
The investigations that lined out the threat before the Boston Bombings should have indicated some trouble in the pipeline.
It is not the cunning of the terrorists alone, but the callowness of our investigators and analysts that is hurting the United States, and that ultimately facilitated the disasters in New York City, 1993, 2001, and Boston, 2013.
